The way this B&B is run should truly be an example for others. Our room was tastefully decorated, spotless, and very comfortable. The host was absolutely wonderful: kind, welcoming, and patient. She took the time to explain everything clearly, showed us around, and even greeted us with a freshly made iced tea upon arrival. She went out of her way to make us feel at home and she absolutely succeeded. She also gave us great tips on what to do in town and where to eat. The surroundings of the B&B were just as charming, with a small, beautifully maintained garden where you can relax with a drink. There’s also a cozy and nicely decorated common room with a complimentary coffee machine, an extra touch we really appreciated. Breakfast was simple but delicious, with fresh, especially tasty bread that stood out.

We traveled by motorcycle and stayed at this hotel – everything was absolutely perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. We especially appreciated the safe parking and the peaceful surroundings, which made for a relaxing stay after a long ride. Highly recommended for anyone traveling through the area – whether on two wheels or four!

Corinne and Cedric are lovely people who made us feel very welcome. The breakfasts were just perfect: proper English tea in a teapot (!!!!!!!!!!!! 🤣 surprisingly important to a travelling Englishwoman), good coffee, perfect scrambled eggs, delicious patisserie... Corinne's friendly advice on places to visit was extremely helpful - we visited places we'd never have thought to go, based on just a Google search. The hotel is situated just a 15-minute walk from the centre of Salies and the bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was great, I wish we could have taken it home with us.

We didn’t have much time but we loved the ambiance of the place. The people we met were so helpful and kind. We eat in ‘Au Repaire’ and thoroughly enjoyed the food which was served by a lovely girl. The manager was also most helpful. We had a drink in ‘Le Chalet’ which again was served by a young guy who was so pleasant & gave his time to show us the way to our restaurant. We also met a girl on her way to the baths who took time to show us the way to a restaurant, she took out her phone and walked with us. This is hospitality and hopefully we will return. I have already told many friends who will certainly visit Salies-de -Béarn .

Salies de Bearn was lovely, architecture was gorgeous and...

Salies de Bearn was lovely, architecture was gorgeous and the Christmas decorations around town were lovely. Unfortunately there was not much open on 24 and 25 December, something that was very disappointing as a tourist. So sanwiches and wine for 2 nights running was not what we had expected or were looking for. I think many towns don't think about people who are away from home and would like a family Xmas with others in different cultures and towns..

When I return I will bring some form of air conditioning (Dyson type). No hairdryer was a surprise. Take out the old slippery bath a replace it with an Italian non slip shower unit. Leave simple instructions for all equipment and provide tv in English. Other than these moans, it was the perfect home from home for us and our little dog. The quality of the equipment was good and the bed was first class!

The perfect historic well preserved small town: good size...

The perfect historic well preserved small town: good size for walking around and getting familiar with everything, good and interesting museum and local businesses, picturesque corners everywhere and an extraordinary history of its own. Besides all these virtues, it is a good departing point for several good short excursions to nice surroundings.
