The staff at this charming hotel were incredibly welcoming, and the location is stunning! From the moment you arrive, you are immersed in a sense of relaxation and beauty. Our room was situated not in the main building (the castle) but in a lovely annex. It was quiet at night, which is very important to me. The room was spacious and cozy, with tea, coffee, and water available for free. We dined at the restaurant inside the Domaine; the food was good, though in my humble opinion, not exceptional. However, we thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance. The beautiful breakfast room, located inside the castle, offered a great variety of choices. The garden and the view are stunning, with swimming pools located in various spots. Having visited many hotels in Dordogne during my stay, Château de Monrecour was definitely my favorite. I hope to have the chance to go back soon.

One of the best holiday accommodation we have experienced. Lovely staff, great surroundings, combination of privacy and service when needed/asked for. New, modern, great technology and beds inside, beautiful old vibe environment. Dordogne is extremely charming, I do think car is necessary. People in this region were sweet to us, much more pleasant than in other parts of France.

This was the best accommodation of our entire trip. we stayed in the Collette room and had a beautiful view of the pool & courtyard. The room was so comfortable, beautifully decorated and the facilities were exceptional. The service was next level. Every single staff member we met was so very helpful & kind. Hotel is located in beautiful surroundings, view from your terrace of a valley, where deer could be seen every day. Very nice room, with a lot of amenities, like Nespresso coffee-machine, very clean. Very hospitable and kind owners, who did everything they could to ensure you had a pleasant stay. Food in the restaurant was delicious, besides a la carte, every morning a menu du jour was presented, in which adjustments could be made, if you did not liked certain courses.
