We were in North France to follow the WW1 Battlefields trail & chose to base ourselves in Arras. We feel we struck gold in staying at A deux pas d'Arras.. Located only 2km from the heart of Arras, this is an absolutely stunning & beautifully furnished 2BRM apartment on the 4th floor (top floor & don't worry, there is a lift available). Very secure with key fob access to the carpark & the building. Spotlessly clean too. We were met on-site by our hosts, who showed us the building access process & then walked us through all the features of the apartment. Very nice touch! We travelled as a couple but there is plenty of room & facilities for 2 couples - it even offers 2 carparks. The apartment has 2 big bedrooms with comfy beds, plus a large walk-in robe with heaps of storage. Also a smaller games room. The open plan living/kitchen/dining has everything you need if you want to prepare meals - and more! 2 bathrooms and a separate toilet, as well as a laundry with washing machine & dryer. A front balcony offers views of the canal and walking track & a rear balcony has views looking out to a huge park. There are 2 supermarkets within walking distance & it was a nice easy walk in to central Arras along the canal. We would highly recommend this property & the hosts.

Easy to find off the motorway - cheap and cheerful, clean...

Easy to find off the motorway - cheap and cheerful, clean and comfortable. No frills but everything you need when exploring Arras. A super short walk into town where you are spoiled for choice with regards to restaurants and bars which means you can leave your car in the ample carpark and just enjoy all that Arras has to offer on foot. Just perfect!

I liked the easy access to the train which connected me to...

I liked the easy access to the train which connected me to the various places like Lille. The people were friendly, the city felt safe and was nice and quiet. I was able to go to Vimy Ridge and Beaumont-Hamel with the help of a friendly Uber driver.

Saint-Laurent-Blangy is a pleasant walk to Arras centre...

Saint-Laurent-Blangy is a pleasant walk to Arras centre which can be either on pavement or, as we did, along the canal side. Arras has a lovely centre where the bars and restaurants seem to be mainly located and was worth the visit.

Great price,good choice for breakfast,very clean,quiet, we were on the car park side away from the road,it's quite a walk to the town for a meal or a drink &reception wouldn't sell anything after 9pm so bring some beer or wine with you,there are benches outside the entrance if it's hot weather
