This place is absolutely lovely and quite a bargain considering the level of service and amenities. We loved the beautiful grounds and our comfy room. The real stars are the staff- exceptionally helpful and fun. We particularly enjoyed chatting with the servers in the restaurant where we enjoyed one of the best meals of our six week trip (and that’s saying something since we enjoyed a lot of great meals in France and Italy). Highly recommend this place and wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely stay there again.

From that moment on, our large family was treated with an extraordinary level of attention that truly set our stay apart. Despite traveling as a big group, we never felt like “just another reservation” — the staff anticipated our needs and took care of every single detail as if they knew us personally. Their personalized service felt like something out of a dream: seamless room service that turned our evenings into cozy, candlelit moments, perfectly presented with glassware and cloches; attentive concierge support that helped craft delightful outings and surprises for our kids; and thoughtful room setup that made every one of us feel seen and valued. Excellent for 1 night stop, may also be confy for 2-3 nights stay in Aix-les-Bains or around. Place is quiet, parking in front of the door, beds were comfortable, airco very quiet but efficient, room was large enough, bathroom is sufficient too, a separate toilet is a big advantage for a family stay, breakfast was quite good and not too costly. Staff was nice.

Great location 15 minutes walk from town straight into the countryside, woken up by birdsong rather than cars. Les charmettes, home of Rousseau next door. The new owners are very enthusiastic, helpful and charming and speak great English and have a great team working with them. Huge bonus is safe parking which none of the hotels in town could offer. Great stop off for travelling up to the mountains. Not forgetting the great restaurant !
