This was our second time choosing Residence Antares for our stay in Risoul, and once again, it did not disappoint. The location of Residence Antares couldn't be better, especially for ski enthusiasts like us. It's conveniently situated near the slopes, allowing for easy access to the skiing action. One of the standout features for us was the ski locker. It was spacious enough to accommodate all our belongings comfortably, even with four people in our group. The convenience of having a secure storage space for our ski equipment cannot be overstated. During our stay, we opted for the studio designed for four people. Surprisingly spacious, the studio was equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. From kitchen essentials to cozy furnishings, it exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival, we were delighted to find our studio impeccably clean. The apartment exuded a cozy atmosphere, further enhanced by the availability of games and books, adding a delightful touch to our evenings. One of the highlights of our stay was the pool area. It provided a perfect space to unwind and relax after a day on the slopes. The sauna, in particular, was spacious and provided much-needed relaxation for our tired muscles, making our skiing experience even more enjoyable.

Great skiing area, bigger than looks on the map with...

Great skiing area, bigger than looks on the map with extensive safe off piste, in between pistes, around Clos Chardon and l'Homme de Pierre, and in trees everywhere down to the resort. The lifts are not all modern and the link to Vars is a bit of a complicated affair, but better when you come back. The ski on the Vars side is good too. Risoul snow front is good and practical with lifts going in all directions. No queues this weekend in January but that wasn't during school holidays. The resort is quite souless being mainly blocks of flat, and the restaurant scene is very low standard. Possibly the worst I have experienced in a ski resort. Limited number of restaurants, Booking is imperative. Food is uninspiring and stodgy. But Risoul is not a high-standard resort. At the same time, the skilifts passes are quite expensive. I'd suggest to go there for the great ski only, rent a place for four days and cook your fine food yourself!

A very pleasant, family-friendly village close to all activities. The shopkeepers are all very friendly and welcoming. We hiked along the ridge. There are many mountain bike trails, all well-maintained and safe. There's also a bowling alley, a swimming pool, and a summer toboggan run...

A small, family-friendly resort with all amenities. There are practically no cars in the village except for arrivals and departures, as everything else is within walking distance. We found a very nice restaurant opposite our studio (Le Hichoky), and several small food shops. At the foot of the slopes, there are countless restaurants and bars with sun loungers.

Free shuttle service within the resort, convenient for arriving with luggage when coming in the morning by train and bus. The shared ski area with Vars is relatively large, with slopes for all levels. Local shops, often of good quality.

In summer, it's a cool place at night and in the morning, which is a big plus when it's hot. On the other hand, every time you make plans outside the Risoul 1850 resort, you have to drive down 13 km of winding roads, and the same on the way back.

Construction continues despite a lack of parking and, more importantly, unloading facilities. Fortunately, booking with Vega this year allowed us to find a spot in the parking lot and unload properly. It's too noisy because of the students. We're coming again this year because my 10-year-old daughter knows the area well. Construction continues, but the ski lift departures are overcrowded.

The Hotel was perfect. it had big swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam sauna. Hotel had ski in/out, even though it was not makred as ski in/out in booking.com. Hotel had various programs during the day end evenings like yogas, quizes, tea parties etc. Have seperate playground rooms for kids. ALso there are lockers for skiis and boots.
