The hotel is located in a nice old town house, but is very well renovated. Eveything is very clean and weiil maintained. Outside there is a car parking and and very special small garden. The breakfast is basic, but of good quality. On request one can get eggs or crepes. The whole staff is outstanding friendly and helpful.

Stayed for two nights at Les2 Cerisiers to visit Mont St Michel and surrounding area. Accommodation is only round the corner from the Pontorson train station and shuttle bus to Mont St Michel. We had access to our own room and bathroom both of which were great size and facilities. Host was amazing and made us breakfast each morning.

We were not in the centre of Pontorson but in the...

We were not in the centre of Pontorson but in the countryside about a mile or so towards Mont St Michel. Pontorson had a few places to eat out and we tried a couple and enjoyed them but we found that most opened in the evening for a short time and closed quite early (it was Mid September) which wasn't good if we'd been out for the day and arrived back later. There was a McDonalds as a last resort which we used rather than go without food but we soon learned to find somewhere to eat on the way if we were going to be back late. We can recommend a chain called Del Arte for a nice Italian in Avranches and other places and there is an Indian restaurant (Moonlight) in Dol-de Bretagne where we had a nice meal for a reasonable price. We found most places in Pontorson quite expensive but the food was good. The town was clean and pleasant enough with ample free parking.

In general, the area has many activities.

In general, the area has many activities. I think you want a day for Mont Saint Michel. You can go hiking, horseback riding, helicopter rides, it's like a zoo. It has many things, I think it took 2-3 days to explore the area.

like everybody else you probably stays in Pontorson We came to see the Abbey. And it was close to a train station and only 9 km from Ponte soon to the Abbey. So there’s not a whole lot to see in Pontorson . But the bed-and-breakfast we were in was magnificent

Pontorson is really a cute little town with lots of cafes...

Pontorson is really a cute little town with lots of cafes and restaurants. It is a very convenient place to stay to visit Le Mont St. Michel if not coming with your own car, although the local buses have quite limited schedules for getting there and back. Still, it's quite sufficient for a typical visit to Le Mont.

Pontorson was as a base for our visit Mont St Michel . We took a scheduled bus near the train station to Mont St Michel. Our stay at Pontorson was 3 days 2 nights We train from Paris to Rennes with connecting train from Rennes to Pontorson . When we arrived at Rennes found out our connecting train to Pontorson was cancelled due to the rail strikes. Thanks to SNCF they issued us fresh tickets for a soon to be departing train to Del de Bretagne. SNCF at Del de Bretagne arranged a taxi to take us our B&B, VILLA Mons. Thank you SNCF.

Good location, could cycle to Mont Saint Michel.

Good location, could cycle to Mont Saint Michel. We were surprised that the accommodations is a 16th century, with lots of original fittings, amazing place! Very clean. The landlady Sibylle is very sweet and helpful. Best wishes to her and her lovely young family!

Close to train station which is also useful to catch bus to Mont St Michel. Apartment was very comfortable and kitchen well equiped although i chose not to use it. Restaurants in Pontorson were excellent. Wednesday street market in street beside as well as through to town block - well worth a visit. Instructions for access were easy to follow (even using google translate).

Property had everything we needed (tea/coffee, basic household staples). Had a beautiful French country feel yet supermarket/restaurants all so easily accessible. Perfect base location to visit Mont Saint Michel and St Malo.
