We loved everything about this property. The location is amazing. The view over the river beneath the property is beautiful, peaceful and exceptional. The hosts were incredibly hospitable. Alan and Ina went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to help us. My wife’s bag had gone missing on the flight into France and they were very sympathetic and accommodating, supporting us with our plans and arrangements to finally recover the bag when it was found. They went out of their way to help us when we Needed to return our hire car and move onto the Canal boat. They could not have done more to help us at all. We are very grateful for all that they did. Fontenoy Le Château is a beautiful town and is a must see destination. We would certainly go out of our way to return and stay with Alan and Ina again. Being the true English gentleman, Alan made sure to have some cold beers available in the fridge when we arrived. We then enjoyed very much their company in the evening as we sat around the table outside overlooking river and consumed many more beers and some lovely local wine. Alan is a history buff and gave us some good advice on visiting the US Army war memorial at Epinal nearby.

A gorgeous place in the forest, with small hiding places, family games and nature playgrounds. Our kids loved the cabin and the rabbits. The place is run by a family that are so sweet and helpful. They cooked an amazing dinner, that even our picky kids loved. Huge recommendations if you love an alternative experience in the nature.

The hosts were a delight! Evening meal was shared with other guests and it was a hoot! Lovely lounge and gardens. Comfortable bed. Very warm and comfortable cosy environment. Secure space for our bikes. The descent from the property into the village.
