Noyers Sur Serein is a stunning medieval French town, one of the most beautiful in France! People are friendly and helpful! Speaking some French is helpful. There are 2 local small markets in easy walking distance and Les Millisiems is a great gourmet restaurant close by. The hardest thing is evening meals in Noyers on Sunday and Mondays as things close at odd times here, so best to be prepared.

Very quaint “little” place.

Very quaint “little” place. But we should have called in and moved on. Out of 4 restaurants only 1 was open!!!! And that was absolutely fully booked There’s more accommodation than restaurants. The boulangerie sells superb croissants though There is a tea shop right in the centre but $5.5 euro for a cup of tea - crickey!! The butchers sells amazing cheese and other yummy produce

Depending on the time of year, especially out of season you can be limited on restaurant openings, otherwise there is a good selection of local fine fare available - (don't rule out the mobile Pizza van if he is in the vicinity) The town is stunning and intriguing - it is perfect to reach and explore on foot from Le Prieure, just a very relaxed atmosphere and slightly slower pace of life, perfect if you are stopping off whilst travelling through France.

Renovated hotel built into medieval town wall, full of quirky charm, tight winding hallways that might have been access to the guard tower 500 years ago. The hotel is family run, and the son, who greeted us, was charming and helpful. Excellent breakfast. Views out over the river and countryside were peaceful and pleasant. Highly recommend.

Really enjoyed our stay at Le Prieuré. The rooms and hotel were beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the grounds and setting were beautiful. We received good recommendations from the owners and really loved exploring this beautiful village.
