A History of Setting Wheels in Motion
Although Mulhouse has a colourful historic centre with cobbled squares and half-timbered houses, the city is best known for its industry. Textile production shot the city into the limelight, a fact detailed in the Museum of Printed Textiles.
The world’s largest train collection is in the multi-coloured French National Railway Museum, next to the Electropolis electricity museum. The National Automobile Museum is also the world’s largest and features the Schlumpf Collection of classic cars and an exhibition track.
