The castle and park are worth a short detour.

The castle and park are worth a short detour. The church (near the train station) dedicated to St. Joan of Arc is only open on Sunday afternoons. Beautiful Art Nouveau windows! The town church is under restoration, and other "sights" are rarely open.

The stay was fantastic.

The stay was fantastic. The best part was the personal contact with Alain and Véronique. They did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The room was cozy, spotlessly clean, and well-maintained. There was a charming 17th-century staircase, as well as their lovely French garden. The ample parking was also important.

A visit to Luneville Castle was a pleasant surprise.

A visit to Luneville Castle was a pleasant surprise. It's a grand castle with a beautiful garden. We didn't explore the interior due to a lack of time. The town itself isn't much to look at. In other words, it's good for a stopover (as we did).

A sadly overlooked town!

A sadly overlooked town! Apart from the castle, which is an absolute must-see, the town is surrounded by forests and ponds, and is close to Nancy and the Vosges Mountains... offering plenty of walks through very diverse scenery.

We were in Lunéville for a painting and sculpture exhibition...

We were in Lunéville for a painting and sculpture exhibition at "Le Réservoir," the town hall. We had an interesting visit to the castle and gardens and stayed at the Hôtel Les Pages, which was perfect, and the restaurant is highly recommended.

If you want to go to Luneville, this is the pace to be right in the town centre. We were in the loft room which is a bit of a climb if you have heavy bags and/or tired limbs, but is pretty large and airy when you get there. Everything is clean and well ordered and the maitresse charming and very helpful. The house itself is a treat and a bit of an unconventional stay. The town has some lovely buildings but has seen better days - good place to visit if you like to be off the beaten track

Right in the middle of Lunéville, a few steps to the best bakery in town and lots of restaurants. Easy costfree parking within 50 meters walk. Tastefully renovated spacious ground flat in an old house. Bathroom with doors to both bedrooms, extra separate toilet. Wellfitted kitchen. Very nice hosts.

Well placed hotel for my route, open when I arrived, some where dry and secure for my bike. Lovely garden to sit in and enjoy the sunshine. Hot was was available to make tea, but no kettle in the room.
