This place is really amazing. We spend there wonderful time. The Chateau itself is very unique. Interior is design in such a way that you can really feel the atmosphere of a castle. Bed is super comfortable. Breakfast was delicious ( specially the sweet part of the breakfast). We had a dinner once in the restaurant which we also liked very much (though my starter was a bit disappointing because I have chosen salmon and similar one was served for breakfast, desserts though was a little piece of art).

Sophie made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious and included home made jams and cake. Walking distance to town. Very quiet location with private parking and lovely gardens. Comfy bed and excellent shower.

Lovely, welcoming owners, who made us feel so welcome. Beautiful accommodation and grounds. Fantastic breakfast made with local produce and so much choice. A really lovely, friendly atmosphere. Would definitely love to stay again, and would thoroughly recommend

Now if I do this little bit of paradise found justice in the review, you will either not believe me, or FAR more importantly I will never get to stay again because it will be fully booked! One winds through an ever narrower lane, not entirely sure of where it leads until the final corner when Domaine du Val Savage is revealed in all its natural beauty. Down a long private driveway, the first thing to observe is the wood fired hot tub on the left. Once you’ve passed this the house then reveals itself. With the swimming pool in front of it and Truffeau stone cliff, complete with caves to the right. All surrounded by forest and birdsong. The greeting from both Vincent and Caroline was very warm indeed. We were shown to our room by Caroline via the separate entrance through the woods. Travelling light is a bonus at this point ;-) The rooms are simply beautiful. Immaculately clean and very comfortable. This stay is a woodland oasis of calm. Should you not want to leave then evening meals etc are also available. We sampled three of these and all were delicious. We have visited the Loire many times now and this is head and shoulders above anywhere else we have stayed, and we’ve been very lucky previously.

The breakfast was wonderful and the breakfast room was exceptional. The location is perfect for visiting the sights of the Loire and the old chateau of Hommes is the remnants of one of those chateaux. So interesting! A lovely swimming pool to relax in before retiring. Very comfortable room and beautifully quiet. Albine and Hubert were perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome and relaxed. If we come back to the Loire we'd certainly stay again and it absolutely made a perfect visit to the region.
