Lovely family run hotel. Good buffet breakfast we also used the restaurant a few evenings while staying. Traditional french dishes served. Comfortable seating area with a small bar which has hot drinks. Heated ski boot storage & ski storage available too. A quick walk to; ski hire, ski pass kiosk & one of the chair lifts which links to the other ski runs. Could also walk though the park, along the river to main ski area, shops & restaurants. Good ski bus service in the village. There seems to be an outdoor market on Fridays too.

We had a truly wonderful 4-night stay. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Isabel and her husband, whose kindness and hospitality made us feel right at home. Each morning started with a delicious, generous breakfast, thoughtfully prepared and perfect for fueling up before a day in the mountains. One of the highlights of our stay was Isabel’s homemade Tartiflette—a local specialty that was absolutely fantastic and not to be missed! The service throughout our stay was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and always helpful. Isabel and her husband went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. The location is ideal for cyclists looking to take on the legendary climbs of the Tour de France. Col de la Croix de Fer, Col de la Madeleine, and the Télégraphe/Galibier are all within reach, making this a perfect base for an unforgettable alpine cycling trip. We couldn’t recommend Coeur de Fournache more highly and are already looking forward to our next visit!
