We had a wonderful room with a small garden! The communal areas were really comfortable, with loads of books. The dinner was the best that we had in France for our whole holiday, and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was also excellent and included in the cost of the room. Everything was very good value and Pierre was incredibly helpful and friendly. He was very approachable and we enjoyed chatting to him. The surroundings and the views are stunning. Next time we will stay for a few days, hopefully very soon.

We had the pleasure of staying at La Maison de Souhey, and it was an unforgettable experience. This newly renovated hotel is a true gem in the beautiful Burgundy region. The accommodations are modern, comfortable, and tastefully designed, making our stay both relaxing and enjoyable. A standout feature of our visit was the culinary experience. The owner is an excellent chef, and the communal breakfasts and dinners were highlights of our stay. Each meal was a delightful showcase of local flavors, enjoyed in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Burgundy itself offers a wealth of experiences. We visited the world-famous Romanée-Conti vineyard, known for producing the most expensive wine in the world, and explored Dijon, with its vibrant food market and the impressive Cité Internationale de la Gastronomie et du Vin. In Beaune, we toured the historic Hospices de Beaune and visited La Moutarderie Fallot, where we learned about mustard-making. Another culinary highlight was dining at La Cuisine de la Fontaignotte in Semur-en-Auxois. Thanks to the owner's help, we secured a reservation at this popular gourmet restaurant. It’s highly recommended, but be sure to book early. Flavigny-sur-Ozerain was another must-see. We enjoyed delicious local beer with a stunning view at Brasserie de Flavigny. Finally, we visited Château de Savigny-lès-Beaune, which features an incredible collection of planes, racing cars, and motorcycles—a must for history and motor enthusiasts. In short, La Maison de Souhey and the Burgundy region exceeded our expectations. Whether you’re looking for relaxation, culture, or culinary delights, this is the perfect destination. Highly recommended!

The communication before our arrival was friendly and forthcoming. We were welcomed very warmly and showed around the nice place. The place is a little remote but it was exactly as we wished it to be and we spent a very calm and good night. The breakfast was very good. We felt welcome and quite at home. Thank you very much.

Lovely quiet B&B with two very friendly hosts. We were welcomed very warmly. After arrival Laurent cooked a delicious meal for us. We had an excellent room with use of a large bathroom. The next day we could have breakfast outside in the sun.

We stayed one night at Algranate – Maison du Tisserand as a family of three (plus our miniature schnauzer) on a road trip from London to Rome, and it was truly unforgettable. The village is picture-perfect – peaceful, charming, and full of storybook beauty. We took a lovely walk through the village and enjoyed a glass of wine and a treat at the local sweet factory – a hidden gem. On arrival, we were warmly greeted by the owners, Marie and Gautier, and given perfect parking right outside. Our room was spacious and beautifully set up, with a cosy little nook just right for our 4-year-old. The bathroom was modern and generously sized, and the walk up the tower to our room felt like something out of a fairytale. We had originally planned to eat out at a nearby restaurant, but we changed our minds and decided to dine at the B&B – and we’re so glad we did. There was no menu – just a fresh, seasonal, beautifully prepared dinner that was also thoughtfully tailored for our daughter. We had an aperitif of traditional Kir, followed by excellent local wines, and an unforgettable meal. Unfortunately, during our walk, our dog was bitten by another dog that was off-leash. It wasn’t a serious injury, but when we told Marie and Gautier, they were incredibly concerned and kind. They immediately drove us to their trusted vet and insisted on covering all the costs – even though the incident had nothing to do with them. Their care, compassion, and sense of responsibility was far beyond anything we expected, and we are so grateful. The next morning, we were treated to a gorgeous breakfast – fresh fruit, lemon water, homemade mini scones (which they encouraged us to take for the road), and the most delicious hot chocolate for our daughter – so good I added it to my coffee! We only stayed one night, but we left feeling as though we had discovered something truly special.
