I loved the views from our room. With windows on two sides you could see the main street and over the patio and pool to the hillsides beyond. The staff were very friendly and provided safe storage for our bicycles.

Self catering, chalet in very good order with a perfect outlook over lac de dathee. Nadine our host lovely lady the owner or the chalet takes pride in cleanliness and very well equipped including games for all generations. The swimming pool is a big plus especially being heated and partially covered, there is crazy golf,table tennis and a boules pitch .A perfect place to relax and enjoy scenery.

Big thanks to Stephan and Christoff for making our holiday in Normandy so memorable ! Stephan and Christoff are such warm and friendly hosts. La Thérèsienne is a stunning house and in such an idyllic setting. Christoff is passionate about nature and flowers and this reflects in the gorgeous garden and surrounding fields. The breakfast was delicious !Stephan makes his own home-made jams which were to die for! I will definitely plan on staying here again and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay.

The apartment is stylish and perfectly equipped. The kitchen has all the appliances and amenities. The garden, or rather the park, makes a colossal impression. You can use two sets of stylish garden furniture, relax on comfortable loungers, or light a barbecue. The hostess is friendly and discreet, she speaks English. It's not every day that you have the opportunity to live in a real chateau. The place is beautiful, quiet and charming.

Only 5km from Vire.

Only 5km from Vire. Best of both worlds - hidden deep in the countryside but everything you could possibly need in Vire. All the usual huge food hypermarkets on the outskirts of Vire but recommend first driving into the centre of Vire to get more local supplies - there is a Carrefour Extra by the clock tower in the cobbled section of town - which you can drive through (looks like it should be pedestrianised but it isn't). There is also a Super U larger supermarket on the way out of Vire. Not as big as a Hyper market but bigger than the town centre one. In the centre of town there is an amazing butcher which also has a deli section. Plenty of delightful Patissieries and a fruit and veg shop. Market day is Fri - quite a big outdoor market - 2 large fish stalls plus shell fish stalls, local cheese and meats, hot sausage & paella to take away. Clothes and shoes and flowers. We ate at the local Creperie (in the direction of the Post Office) wide choice and excellent. Visit Villedieu Les Poules, 30 mins drive. It's main market is on a Tues - it's really huge. Get there early to park easier! Only an hours drive to Domfront, lovely medieaval town. High up in a beautiful square (diagionally opposite La Poste) is the best cafe for afternoon tea. The museum in Vire is lovely. Well worth a visit. Very good for the history of Vire and understanding the price Vire paid for freedom in WWII A lot of bomb damage but now beautifully restored. Gives an insight into the towns architecture and it's resilience. (Written by a retired English woman who loves France)
