I didn't visit Gaillard for the weekend.

I didn't visit Gaillard for the weekend. However, I took advantage of its proximity to Annemasse, a very pretty town, and to visit Geneva, which is nearby. You can travel from Annemasse to Geneva by motorway without needing a motorway sticker.

The location was acceptable, but there were no direct bus...

The location was acceptable, but there were no direct bus lines to Cornwall or the airport, the room heaters had no regulator, the mattress was thin and I could feel the bed frame on my back, there was a lack of dish towels to dry the kitchen utensils, the internal layout of the structure is very poorly utilized, I would completely renovate it.

It's a city I already knew!

It's a city I already knew! There are many food shops and wonderful walks to enjoy. Its location is ideal for fully experiencing both countries (Switzerland and France).

Gaillard feels like a commuter town compared to Geneva, with the tram right near the apartment (though there was no noise in our rental). The urban landscape consists of apartment buildings as well as some beautiful villas. The Swiss border is very close. The Reigner Esery golf course is 9 km from Gaillard, offering a place to play. The Bossey course was closed.

Very little time spent there: just enough time to leave for work, come back, and prepare for the next day's activities. Didn't have time to explore Gaillard. A shame. Hopefully next time.

I like the easy transport connection, the self catering and its spaciousness. Going in one should know that it's a hotel apartment not your normal hotel. Cleaning and change of towels and replenishin supplies is done after 7 days. You are expected to clean as it's a hotel apartment. 5
