Nice quiet location in a small village in the middle of Alsace nature close to Basel. Lots of free parking spaces. It was and dump outside, and we loved the cosy heating. The owner was helpful and dog friendly. We enjoyed the nice restaurant for the evening meal, food was delicious.

Ferrette is a pretty small town, but absolutely beautifully located in the foothills of the Alsacian Jura, near the border with Switzerland. The area is not very touristic, but if you are looking for a perfect landscape for hiking, especially in late summer/early autumn, this is the region you have been looking for. One of the culinary specialties of the Sundgau, which is the southern part of the Alsace, is Carpe Frite, fried carp. Make sure you sample it in one of the restaurants that is part of the 'route du carpe frite'. My personal preference would be a stay at the Hotel Restaurant Collin in Ferrette that also offers other regional specialties at very moderate prices.

The owner of this lovely little hotel is very friendly and chatty. She effortlessly accommodated our request for a room with high ceilings, and even let us check in early. The hotel is a bit old-fashioned but the village itself is quite picturesque. Also, there's an Auchan nearby if you need to get groceries. The room was quiet even though we were facing the main road.

The house is beautiful and the hosts were very charming. They loved to tell us about the history of Ferrette, the castle and the surrounding. It was very interesting to listen to them tell us how they renovated the house. Very comfortable, only few minutes away from the center. We will definitely come back!

Charming, modest, Logis hotel right in the centre of Ferrette. Family run with a warm welcome. We had a family room as only one available. Great little restaurant on ground floor open to non residents & residents alike. Sparkling clean rooms. Fresh flowers on all tables.
