Our host Christine was absolutely wonderful. She really looked after us and so friendly and made our stay very enjoyable. Breakfast was laid out beautifully for us and our rooms were very comfortable. We managed to have fun conversations despite the language differences. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jean-Luc's lovely village house which has a view of Peyrepertuse castle from the balcony. The house has been beautifully restored by Jean-Luc himself, with careful attention to detail regarding everything needed for a comfortable stay. He served us a wonderful, home cooked supper on the terrace: we highly recommend the dinner option. Breakfast was excellent too, and we enjoyed tasting the different types of honey and chatting with our host and the other guests.

A charming, typical village with narrow streets and stepped pedestrian passages. There are a few nice restaurants, but no shops (bakery, etc.), the village grocery store is closed, and there's no bar. It's exceptionally well-located for visiting the castle, which is best explored on foot from the village to fully appreciate the experience.

A small, quiet village with several good restaurants and a tiny grocery store; few supermarkets nearby, the closest Carrefour Market is in St Paul de Fenouillet, 20 km away. An ideal location for visiting Cathar castles, swimming in the Verdouble gorges, and enjoying beautiful walks.

The village is lovely.

The village is lovely. On the outskirts, there are a couple of beach bars where you can have lunch or dinner. It's not touristy, meaning there aren't any shops or anything like that. The surroundings are beautiful, and the castle is impressive; we would have loved to visit it, but we didn't have time. The village is peaceful, and you get there along the D14 road, which, despite being winding, is magnificent.

The site and village are very pretty and peaceful; a 1.5-day stay is sufficient. However, be aware that if the grocery store is closed, there are no other options for supplies besides the restaurants and snack bars located in the village.
