This is a lovely place to stay. We are a retired couple who travel in France once a year. We have a playful argument that I prefer on short stays to chose modern branded hotels. They can be soulless but as long as you don’t eat there you hopefully get an air conditioned clean executive room with everything you could want. Great for a one or two night stay. My wife prefers the full culture experience and to stay in chateau’s and we have had the varied experience of wonderful to dusty old and there is no charm in no aircon and finding the plumbing was installed in Louis xiv. lifetime. Anyway this Chateaux stay is in the wonderful bracket. Massive wow factor when you arrive. Friendly helpful staff. Tastefully modernised to have both old and contemporary feel. Our room was in the annex by the main building which looked like a renovated stable block. Excellent room which was spacious, clean, well equipped with four poster bed. Strange that it didn’t have a safe or hair dryer but heyho. We ate in the restaurant one night and the food and service was superb, exceptional. The pool area was lovely and we swam and sunbathed one afternoon in the gardens.

A perfect place to stop over whilst road-tripping from the UK to Southern Spain. The hotel was easy to find with lots of parking in a secured area. Keyless system in operation meant one less thing to lose and situated next to a decent bistro and opposite a large supermarket and petrol station. Super convenient, friendly staff, comfortable bed and very clean room/en suite. And great value for money. Would definitely recommend.

Probably the best hospitality we’ve ever experienced douring our travels around the world (it was that good...) Natalie and Olivier welcomed us into their château, and it truly is one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever stayed at. They built it, they decorated it, and they are very much the soul of this breathtaking place. It’s a perfect mix of quiet and warmth, wilderness and deliciousness, wrapped together in absolute perfection. “Highly recommended” doesn’t even begin to describe it - don’t miss this place (and their delicious food!!! Dinner and breakfast with the amazing wine list). It will make your experience in the area unforgettable in every possible way. We cannot wait to return ♥️

This is an annexe to house of owners: i.e. a REAL B&B, which I love. Hosts were out of their home to greet us as soon as we parked our car. We had one of the two apartment units which are tastefully furnished and had everything we required. Situated about 40 km from Bordeaux it meant we could visit that city but also tour the neighbourhood if we chose to. Frontenac has one bar which serves food but we had self catering: everything available which we needed. Nice table in garden near lovely pool. Tip from owners: visit St Emilion. We did and were very impressed. Breakfast plain and simple - but mostly home-grown produce. Nice touch!

The location is perfect for a quick drive by car to visit some of the vineyards in Saint Emilion. The homemade breakfast was so good and the owner of the place is so nice with pleasant reception also it's a dog-friendly place.
