Very beautiful hotel, perfect spot for a romantic vacation in a historical environment. We were upgraded to a superior room which was extremely nice and lots of space, the bed was comfortable and also a comfy bathtub! We had a really good dinner in the restaurant, food was delicious!

This place is amazing and is truly underrated (as per reviews). Location is simply wonderful. Houses are nice, cozy, two floors, close to the sea no matter in which building your room is (had garden house). Our room was very nice, good noise isolation, had terrace and bed was very comfortable. No issue there for us as there was no reception in the building we stayed as reception is easy to get to - it is short walking distance. When registering we were offered to have a booking at the restaurant- very thoughtful and nice. We also decided to extend our stay and we were very happy how the request was handled starting from very prompt communication and ending with our luggages being handled by a staff. Great service! Breakfast was good. The only thing I missed was hot meal option e.g., pancakes; scrambled eggs or similar but that could be more cultural thing so not much of a deal breaker. Coffee was very tasty and very tasty pastries. Of course, must try the restaurant! Great staff and very tasty food, good vibe!

Excellent breakfast with good coffee (machine) and fresh food: ham & camembert, exellent home-made cheese cake, fresh apple and good french bread mini-croissant….etc Good restaurant but somehow pricey compared to other restaurants in the Bayeux area. I guess you pay for the seaview from the restaurant which is indeed unbeatable ;-)

I loved the situation, peaceful. The accommodation was excellent, bathrooms functioning brilliantly, beds really comfortable. Outside furniture outside our room and in the garden. Very relaxing. Great atmosphere. Owner so helpful, chatty, nothing too much trouble. We went to the Landing Beaches, very accessible.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, it was a fabulous building...

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, it was a fabulous building and there was some great places locally to visit. The breakfast was good, but thought it was quite expensive at €16 each. We did have an issue with one of the bar staff who got very rude with us. We were just finishing our drinks and were told to leave the bar just before 11 and she turn the lights out whilst we were in there, which I don’t think it’s very professional.

Excellent hotel in the heart of the British and Canadian areas of the D-Day landings. Set in a small village in beautiful surroundings, the hotel is very peaceful. It has a wide variety of accommodation within the hotel plus the proprietor owns other holiday accommodation nearby. Own transport is best (there is plenty of free parking) as public transport in the village is limited. All the D-Day beaches, including the two American beaches, are easily accessible as are the towns of Bayeaux and Caen.

An interesting village on the D Day route, with a memorial to the Green Howards in the village together with information boards about the Landings set throughout the village. It had easy access to both the Beaches and to Bayeux.

Manoir de Mathan , was the perfect setting for a wonderful holiday. It was such a special place to use as a base in the delightful village of Crepon. It's perfect for anyone wanting to visit the d day sites and explore the area by car or to take advantage of the amazing trails by bike. Isabelle is very hands on and pleasantly tolerant of our inability to grasp the language.

Everything was amazing! The hotel has a very nice location, many things to do around (you need the car of course). The breakfast was very tasty! The best part of the place was the people, everyone was super nice and welcoming. The rooms are big and very clean. It's very quiet and calm. We had an amazing stay and we hope to visit again.

The location in relation to the D Day beaches, the memorial cemeteries and Bayeux was perfect. Hostess Isabelle is a heartwarming hostess. Unfortunately, the hotel does not have a restaurant, but there are plenty of opportunities nearby. But there is a lovely terrace where it is good to stay while enjoying a nice glass of wine!
