Great and friendly host. The breakfast is the best we ever had in a bnb. Location and views are absolutely gorgeous. Rooms are big enough, good and big bed and proper showers. I recommend this place to everybody who wants to visit the area. We will come back. Thank you for the hospitality.

Amazing place to base yourself for time in the Pyrenees.

Amazing place to base yourself for time in the Pyrenees. We stayed for a week and could have stayed a few more days. Tons of hikes, waterfalls, water activities, and climbing within an hour's drive (but many places are much closer than that). My one piece of advice would be to make dinner reservations ahead of time or order your takeout early because most places fill up really fast and even the pizza places stopped taking orders early in the evening because they filled up so quickly! It's a great place though, and we really enjoyed our time there.

Cauterets is lovely town in the middle of the Pyrenees with...

Cauterets is lovely town in the middle of the Pyrenees with amazing views of the mountains. A good base if you like hiking or cycling. It has a market with lots of yummy food, bakeries, restaurants and other shops. There are quite a few hotels and lots of apartments, so a great summer destination.

I was in Cauterets to do some walks.

I was in Cauterets to do some walks. In the four days I was there in June 2025 there were two days of low cloud which restricted the type of walk that could be done, but also two clear, sunny days which allowed more choice. The climate in the area means that there is no certainty about the type of weather you may get. It is a pleasant village with a good selection of restaurants and good bus connectivity. The tourist office is helpful and English is spoken.

Trail Running awesome options Hiking Mountains awesome, views at every corner. The valley accessible for every activtity level, walking, hiking, running, riding Easy access to all trails. Options to catch a bus to Gavarnie if required,... or hike there

We visited in mid summer as a base for walking in the mountains. It was hot and busy, but not so busy that it felt crowded or unpleasant. The nice thing about Cauterets is that one feels very much in the mountains, and indeed there are pleasant walks to do into the mountains directly from the town. It's an attractive, friendly town, with lots of bars and restaurants, cafes, a supermarket etc. We loved it.

We visited this winter sports resort in the summer.

We visited this winter sports resort in the summer. It was quite quiet, but the place surely comes alive in winter. The hiking trails nearby are amazing, and the town itself was very charming. We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful old town center.

Loved the location which was very central and convenient. The kitchen facilities were great so we could cook our own meals - it had everything we needed for a short stay :) The shelves and space in the bedroom is convenient to put things away and the roof top window was lovely for some fresh air. The host was very kind, friendly and quick at responding.

Studio is bright and very well laid out and stylishly furnished. It’s very pretty and has everything needed for a relaxing stay. The sofa bed is great! View from the balcony in the morning was gorgeous. Spacious shower. Location great for ski lift and village.
