We absolutely loved this hotel. It was without doubt the best of the four that we stayed at in our tour around Corsica. It’s ideally positioned in a quiet residential neighbourhood, but still just a five minute walk from the port of Calvi and all its attractions and restaurants. The hotel itself has a boutique feel. It’s beautifully furnished with incredible attention to detail and spotlessly clean, both in the public areas and our bedroom. The staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our room was enormous with a lovely balcony overlooking the cosy pool area - the pool itself is also beautiful, with a lovely stone surround and little fountains. The bed in our room was one of the most comfortable I’ve enjoyed in a hotel anywhere and all the fixtures and fittings were of a high standard. The bathroom was immaculate with an amazing waterfall shower. Breakfast was served in the bar area, but with an option to sit out on one of the two outdoor terraces. It was a buffet with a great array of sweet and savoury options to choose from. It was kept well stocked and fresh by the staff. All delicious. All in all, I cannot recommend this hotel more highly.

The excellent service levels were immediately apparent on arrival where two reception staff appeared as if from nowhere to take our bags from us. Unfortunately we don’t know there names, but that’s immaterial as no member of the team here could be singled out for praise, the whole team from reception, housekeeping, restaurant and maintenance ensured we had an absolutely wonderful stay. We soon realised that training and customer service was very high on the agenda here. It didn’t matter how busy staff were, they always made us feel that we were the only guests. Check in was fast, a refreshing cool flannel, spray and drink was appreciated. We were taken to our room via a useful and well presented tour of the hotel amenities, instantly helping us to find our bearings. We were treated to an upgraded room, room 14, that had views over the beautifully tended gardens to the mountains beyond. Again, everything was explained to us and we settled in. A giant welcome cookie greeted us, a gift from the kitchen. A very thoughtful touch. The room had everything we needed, with an absolutely huge bed, excellent shower and bath and balcony overlooking the gardens that were filled with constant bird song, absolutely beautiful. Robes, slippers and even umbrellas were provided. The outdoor pool had lots of comfortable loungers and ample shade. The indoor jacuzzi was huge and very effective. Breakfast here was a special treat, taken on the terrace overlooking the pool and gardens. There were enough options to please even the most jaded palate, ample fresh fruit and many choices. A special memory for us was the honeycomb, absolutely lovely honey. We had dinner here once and again couldn’t find fault with the menu or service. The cheeseboard was especially good. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay and have no hesitation in recommending La Signoria and the team. Even on departure we were given a gift of biscuits to enjoy on our trip.

A superb location for easy access to the splendid beach (2 minute walk from our room) and the town centre (15-20 minute walk, depending on the heat!). Spacious room, very clean and well equipped. Lovely staff, especially at reception. Excellent breakfast (good value as included, pricy if not). The location is perfect for the beach and the town.

It was a very comfortable room with a balcony and lots of space. It’s in the perfect location to everywhere in Calvi, with lots of restaurants and cafes close by but still very quiet. The staff were really nice and very helpful when I asked to extend my stay. Would definitely stay again.

The size of the town and its citadel. The look and feel of the place with its fantastic beaches of white sand and turquoise waters and the passerelle between the sea and the forest . Ease of accessibility on foot, by train to Ile Rousse and the beautiful beaches en route, proximity by boat or by organised excursions to discover spectacular landscapes around and over Calvi. I absolutely loved the place and will be back.

The boat trip to Scandola nature reserve exceeded all expectations! Loved having a day to tour the villages of Balagne. Restaurants are excellent. We enjoyed salads at Il Resto. Wish we had had a full day for hiking a trail to lighthouse & beyond.

Calvi’s an ideal place to just hang out, cafe and resto hop, go to the beach or walk the lovely lanes. It’s also an excellent base to have a rental car to venture further out across the mountains and along the coast, each with their own dramatic and wild and rugged landscapes. Plan your time however, the distances may look short, but the roads will in a lot of cases halve your kmph.

Calvi is absolutely incredible, beautiful views sea and mountains together crystal waters, great food, people so helpful would definitely go back. So far in Corsica we have been to bastia, sant florent and calvi and calvi is our favourite.out of the three. However all of corsica so far has been amazing. /the roads are fantastic and views incredible.

I feel like the locals, esp restaurants and coffee places in the Main Street live off of tourism, but hate the tourists for all the chaos they bring to the place. The atmosphere is not nice. Also, it’s too crowded for my taste, but most of the world is like this now.

June was a good month to visit as not too busy and excellent weather. Calvi is terrible for vegan options and the restaurants are pricey. There are very few options for lower priced meals. We were also shocked at the cost for taxis

We got a great assistance and help with anything we needed from Julie at the reception. She gave us trip suggestions, booked a taxi for us, stayed longer so we could wash our clothes from the beach. That was wonderful! From Romane we got all the information for the restaurants in Calvi. We had a great time!

A small hotel with sparkling facilities in the heart of Calvi. Reception staff were always present and helpful. The room was compact and well presented. Despite not having a ‘front’ room I had views across the bay, mountains & half of Calvi.

Nice room and with view on the old city and the seaside. Closeness to diverse parking lots. Breakfast in the morning was good enough for money value - charcuterie and formage from Corsica as well as some bakery.
