Jane and Sharon are exceptional hosts, very helpful, and nothing is too much trouble. The building is beautiful and is very comfortable. The breakfast is excellent. I cannot recommend a stay here enough.

Spent a couple of day at this excellent hotel. Very comfortable room, pleasant, helpful staff and the food was delicious. Close to the town which was interesting to walk around. Would definitely recommend.

The place was lovely and they couldn’t have been more helpful, room was bright and airy and the communal area warm with a wood burner in the evening. Breakfast was perfect bread, with lots of meats and cheese. Cereal and yogurt as well but only had the yogurt, coffee machine so it was on tap and you could drink as much as you liked. They even had a fridge with beer in and you wrote down what you had.

I would have liked to do some of the local walks but it was...

I would have liked to do some of the local walks but it was too hot. Bugeat is very accessible by train from Limoges so that made getting there easy. However, it only had one cafe which was not open on a Monday so it was difficult to get a sandwich for lunch or have a simple dinner in the village. There was only one restaurant and one pizzeria which were also not open all the time. The small grocery store was not open on Sundays.

Nice quiet location. Good for exploring the region.

Nice quiet location. Good for exploring the region. The café does very good coffee. The boulangerie has great bread and patisseries. The Carrefour has all you need for a picnic or if self-catering. Lake Triegnac is a great place to spend a water based activity day with the family. The Roman ruins https://site-gallo-romain-les-cars.com/ are worth a visit. The view from Mont Bessou is worth seeing, it also has a cafe serving very nice gallettes and crepes. Market day is Thursday. The pizzeria, Le Millevaches, gave us very good pizzas on two separate nights. All in all a lovely place to stay.
