The location was good, like so many of these hotels it's in a semi industrial area with good access to main roads and autoroutes. The reception area was nice and welcoming and the reception staff had read our late request and put us in rooms next to each other that were even adjoining which helped massively with being a family and having shared luggage. The reception staff were pleasant and helpful. It's clearly a family run business.
Fans had been placed in the rooms (although very grubby and dusty) due to the heat as no air con.

Royal Scenery in a Natural Treasure Chest
Blois beautifully lines the Loire Valley with a sublime combination of nature and architecture. Standing between Orléans and Tours, two other Loire Valley gems, Blois - the most important city of Loir-et-Cher -enjoys its proximity to the agricultural Beauce area and Sologne forest.
Slate tiles and tuffeau stones, a pattern reminiscent of the Loire Valley, are prominent in Blois and the old town is full of charming houses. Blois train station is near the Gothic Renaissance Castle of Blois, considered one of architecture’s masterpieces. Originally occupied by King Louis XII, it is nowadays partly taken over by the Museum of Art, offering a collection of paintings, sculptures and ancient tapestries. The royal gardens also evoke the Renaissance and provide a lovely view of the city. Other gardens invite you to enjoy the magical scenery by the Loire river.
Walk 2 minutes more towards the commercial street to discover the House of Magic, a unique example in Europe of its genre. Take some time and walk along the Loire, where the historic Jacques Gabriel Bridge, built in the 18th century, links the two banks of the city. Follow this route to discover the magnificent Castle of Cheverny and the not-to-be-missed Castle of Chambord.

A historic and friendly town close to many of the most visited chateaux on the Loire. The town has its own chateau, which is well worth a visit as it is so well presented. Of note was the quality of information in English there. We also visited the Maison de la Magie, which was amusing, but I wouldn't rush back. There are lots of old streets to explore and plenty of places to eat and drink. If you're going by car, research about parking first. We kept our car at the Halle du Grains, which was a hike from the Hotel, but good value and we got used to the commute.

The views of the city from the left bank were beautiful.Despite the heat we enjoyed visiting the Chateau and the old town and it was all within walking distance. We visited a vibrant outside bar in the park on the left bank and had a superb meal at a restaurant called Le Creusille .The setting of the restaurant is in an atmospheric old courtyard ,the service and food was outstanding.

For us two points, 1] restaurant; breakfast superb, evening meal very nice and tasty but a bit limited on the choice...2]pool was fine but for myself - mobility reduced and wife new artificial knee the pool was not accessible as the 'ladder' to enter the water had very small steps and was vertical, with a wider step depth and a ladder at an angle (maybe like \ and not I ) we both could have used pool and hot tub. The sauna was fine !

Historically interesting with a great deal of impressive architecture. Easy to walk around although cobbled streets as in many old places in France are hard on the feet! Eating places expensive but authentic and with good atmospheres and friendly people. In all a very attractive small city to visit.

Blois is in a beautiful location on the river Loire.
Blois is in a beautiful location on the river Loire. It is full of interesting historical buildings and has a lovely atmosphere. It would make a great base to explore the wider Loire area for a longer stay.
We stayed in the spacious Catherine de Medici apartment on the ground floor. Location was great! Just a short walk to the city centre. Lovely wine bar around the corner and being attached to Monarque hotel for checkin was convenient. We were able to park on the street and paid for a couple of days without moving the car.
Good facilities throughout and we were grateful for the washing machine as we needed to do some washing.
This is the kind of old style simple hotel I love. There is a quaint atmosphere that is still there even though the premises have been completely refurbished. The italian shower is brand new and the beds were good in a quiet room. The kids loved the breakfast with delicious bread and croissants from a good bakery and freshly made scrambled eggs. The location opposite the train station and close to the city centre is ideal.
Room, breakfast and dinner were all excellent ... I wish to particularly thank the staff (Marie to give a precise name) who were so helpful to send me back very quickly my laptop power connector which I had forgotten in my room. Finally, the location of the hotel is also great which adds a lot to its attractiveness since I was only 15 minutes walk from the Blois castle where my conference was held.
This is a gorgeous little studio with everything you need for your stay. It is right in the centre of town, in an old building whose walls make you feel like you have your own castle in Blois! It's small but well equipped and comfortable. It's not fancy but it's really good value and was perfect for us.
Fantastic location and the hotel decor helps to create a sense of history.
The staff were exceptionally helpful and the breakfast was value for money. The breakfast room is stunning, and the view from the hotel towards Blois Castle, the park, and the church is outstanding.
Apartment was super comfy. Close to Blois Chateau, close to town centre and Intercity supermarket. . Comfy bed. Host collected us from the train station and dropped us off at the apartment. Included usual self catering kitchen options. Convenient location.
Super budget hotel, staff friendly and helpful.
AC good, no noise, clean, asham the bedsheets are synthetic, did not have breakfast at hotel, parking ok ,we had to park car outside ca 50m from hotel. For the price of hotel really happy, would come again.
All staff without exception was very professional, friendly and accommodating. Dinner and the related service were very good at a reasonable price and a pleasant setting. The hotel offers a good private car park, albeit at cost.
The hotel is an old hotel restyled as an IBIS hotel, so while the common areas have a certain charme the rooms are typical IBIS style. However, it is ideally located in Blois city centre and it has a good ratio quality/price.
Location is right across the cathedral and up the street from stores and restaurants. A 10min walk to the Chateau de Blois. We had the downstairs apartment that can sleep 5. Kitchen, living room, bathroom.
During July 14, our car needed repair and it was a holiday, the mgr and clerk found us a repair shop close, and we were exceptionally grateful! So happy, Hotel and room kept so clean
Our hosts were wonderfully hospitable, very responsive, and the property was located in the heart of Blois' City Centre! We would certainly recommend the property to others!
Loved everything about this hotel, from the friendly staff, to the excellent restaurant staff and the quality of food and drinks they served. Absolutely wonderful.
It's a beautiful quiet place with a lovely French breakfast and very kind hosts. The room size is quite large for France and it is beautifully decorated.
