Location is idyllic and our room was spacious and beautifully decorated. Marjorie and Marco were excellent hosts and our evening meal was fabulous. Breakfast was also excellent. Can’t wait to go back.

Everything was special. The place, a converted farmhouse with barn, the garden area with vegetables and fruits we could eat. The spacious house is a successful combination of preservation of the past and stylish modernisation. The green area is habitat to many different birds. A quiet place with several tables for tea, breakfast, dinner... The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful. Nearby a small town full of character and not far away impressive river gorges.

This hotel was just wonderful. Super countryside travelling to the hotel. Hosts are great people. We relaxed in the garden, beside the pool. Dinner was really nice, very tasty, local produce, and local wine. Our room was very comfortable and so quiet . The hotel is quant, older furniture. If we are anywhere near Chantelle in the future, we will stay here. In fact, I would build my trip to take in staying with Juan and this excellent hotel. It was a great experience. We're looking forward to returning.

The owner was so nice and friendly ! He cares about his guests a lot🙂 the place is small but there is everything you need for a short stay. Everything was clean, shower has hot water and bed is comfortable and the place is silent so you can get proper rest.

The food was excellent and the room quiet and of a good size...

The food was excellent and the room quiet and of a good size, The surrounding countryside was pleasant but not particularly scenic. We visited in November so it was not applicable, but the terrace looked very inviting and ought to be great for sitting outside on a summers evening. We have stayed at numerous similar properties and indeed once owned our own farmhouse in SW France. The standard of accommodation and comfort at Bellenaves was lower than normal. If you are seeking a rural retreat, where tranquilty matters more than comfort, you may find what is on offer to your satisfaction.
