The gite is super clean, comfortable, nicely decorated and has all the commodities for a nice stay (lots of cutleries, washing machine, dishwasher, games...). It's a gite so think of bringing your own towels. We only spent one night but we wish we could have stayed longer. The sky by night with all the stars was wonderful. Our hosts were very friendly. Highly recommended for a relaxing holiday!

Sadly we only made an overnight stay so saw only a limited amount of the town. Its riverside walks looked beautiful and the old buildings interesting. Much more to xplore in this charming town i am sure.

It has a lot to offer: a river with picturesque anglers, beautiful scenery and a Roman bridge, shops (a Carrefour that's also open on Sundays!), a church (Sunday mass at 11 a.m.), a pretty neighborhood on the "other" side of the river...

A lovely little town where it's great to stay, for example,...

A lovely little town where it's great to stay, for example, to go and listen to the concerts of the In-temporel-les festival or to use it as a good starting point for visits to the surrounding area: the small village of Gargilesse or the Brenne Natural Park house (watch out for the large crayfish that cross the small roads...). We were delighted to discover this little town.

Argenton is a pretty town bisected by the Creuse River, whose banks are undeniably charming, especially near the old bridge. Finding a place to eat is easy. It's also close to many places worth visiting.

A pleasant town, a very nice walk through the town and along the Creuse River. We followed the suggested route to the Bonne Dame Chapel. Many thanks to the Sunday artists at the Moulin du Rabois for your unexpected welcome and access to the beautiful viewpoint overlooking the Creuse. The crêperie is highly recommended, as is the recently opened Villa 33.

Great location near town centre. Parking opposite snd we were able to store our cycles in a secure room at the hotel. We always enjoy the restaurant whose food and service is excellent. Good breakfast and even provided me with a decaf coffee.

A lovely boutique hotel set in a delightful location. Breakfast was excellent and Newton, the chocolate lab, was a well-behaved and pleasant co-host. Breakfast was excellent.
