The staff were very accommodating and helped me with things around town as I needed to buy some stamps etc. Really helpful and again... even with the language barrier. The room was really beautiful and I could not have asked for more.

Wonderful hotel surrounded by a beautiful garden. The rooms are spacious and nicely designed. The gourmet restaurant and bistro serve tasty local dishes. They have their own vegetable garden and chicken coop. There were a variety of fresh fruits for breakfast. The outdoor swimming pool area is pristine and very nicely designed. There is also an indoor gym. Last but not least, the service is outstanding, the staff is smiling and eager to be of help.

We stayed at this lovely new hotel as a family and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Although we didn’t have breakfast, it looked beautifully presented and very inviting. The location in this charming small town is peaceful and picturesque—perfect for a relaxing stay. Everything felt fresh and thoughtfully designed. As a newly opened hotel, everything is modern and in excellent condition. We truly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t change a thing. Highly recommended!

This was the best stay during my 7-day Pyrenees journey. The view from the terrace was absolutely stunning, with gentle green mountains stretching into the distance. Both the sunset and sunrise were breathtaking, and I even enjoyed working on my laptop from the terrace. Breakfast looked simple at first, but every bite was incredibly delicious — especially the cheese, ham, yogurt, honey, and juice. I even asked the staff about the cheese they served and went to buy it at the local shop. The room was decorated with Basque-style coverings, and even the tableware reflected the Basque tradition, which made the atmosphere very special. There was nothing negative about this stay. I would love to return again!

The room was spacious, very clean and designed in fresh colours with a very nice view - and was very quiet during night time. The breakfast was also served in the room on request. The café served a nice choice of small meals and delicious desserts and and a very good choice of beverages in the evening.

This hotel has everything - ambience, comfort, modern facilities, gracious hosts. the property was historical but with modern updates. the pool was perfect. when we arrived, tired from a long day of hiking, Laurence suggested changing our room to one with a bath so we could soak our tired feet. so thoughtful! The food at the restaurant was fantastic too. The chef puts both heart and ingenuity into his dishes.

The area is very pretty. We had a room with a balcony which was very comfortable and we slept well in the large bed with crisp linen. The view from the balcony was amazing as was the food. Every bit of food we had was delicious and would not be out of place in a top London Restaurant. The whole experience was very special. The nearby town of Espilate was worth a visit. There is a Chilli farm where you can enjoy a tasting and buy local produce. The staff are very approachable and friendly.

Ainhoa is a pretty little town, but its advantage is its location in that area of the Pyrenees-Atlantique, because it is in the "middle" of all the nice little villages that are recommended to be visited in the area. It's a nice 30-minute drive to St Jean de Luz, coastal beach in the Pyrenees-Atlantique.
