Nearly everything.. it is a very beautiful guesthouse everything is well maintained and very clean place to stay with the view of the ocean. It is near to the bus stop where it can bring you to torshavn or to the airport directly. It is also near to the ferry to mykines, it is probably one of the best place i have stayed, will definitely come back again..

Excellent accommodation where we spent the first four days of our stay in the Faroe Islands. Very good location, close to places to visit on the island of Vagar and also close to the airport. The house is perfectly equipped, even better than described in the booking (the kitchen has been renovated and has a dishwasher, for example). We would definitely do it again.

Very good stay at Giljanes Hostel! Bus equipped with several beds, a fridge and sea view! The shared lounge is a great way to meet other travelers! Christian is a nice and available host! Thank you ! I recommend and I hope to return if I have the opportunity to return to the Faroe Islands!

Good location on the island - many points of interest can be easily reached; large TV (Samsung) with apps (Netflix, YouTube, etc.), overall comfortable bed, relatively nicely arranged interior. The apartment was pre-heated before our arrival - so this was great. The apartment has also large fridge, dishwasher and other kitchen amenities.

Postcard perfect village and if u look back across the...

Postcard perfect village and if u look back across the harbour at night with the lights its magical. Little beach with incredible view up the right hand coastline provided perfect backdrop for doing tai chi. Not too many amenities available like any of the villages outside torshavn and klaksvik so would recommend a visit to fk or bonus supermarket which is not far out the airport if u take a right rather than left to sorvagur. Bonus is cheaper.

A very nice village with a small port.

A very nice village with a small port. Very close to the airport in a wonderful Fjord! I lived close to the ferry to Mykines, although I couldn´t make it that time. It´s just a short car drive to Gasadalur and the lakes. There is also a nice cafe in the center, close to the supermarket which is open from 8-22, 6 days a week. A perfect location to explore the beautiful islands!

At this time of year(September).

At this time of year(September). Many restaurant's are closed or very limited hours. This was disappointing as I really did not want to prepare my own food. We were required to empty all garbage and remove sheets from the beds. What was I paying for? Uncomfortable beds and heat was too high.

- The town is large enough to have a shop, cafes, and restaurants. - The airport is nearby, but you won't experience much of a disturbance. - Several boat excursions also depart from here. - The road to get there is excellent. - Driving through the tunnels means tolls; if that's a problem for you, you shouldn't go to the Faroe Islands.

Sorvagur is a small town.

Sorvagur is a small town. One of its main attractions is its proximity to the airport, just two minutes away. It's a very peaceful town with magnificent views of a fjord and the mountains. There are few restaurants and cafes in the area. It also has a sandy beach perfect for strolling. The ferry to Mykines departs from its port.
