Staff are excellent. Do the Jewel of Fiji tour. The tour itself isn't expensive.... BUT... be prepared to pay quite a lot extra to actually get there.... In saying that..... it's a nice comfy way of seeing quite a bit more of the island. The beach/bay is absolutely lovely.... although, reef shoes might be helpful... (sharp stuff) If you're OK to pay a taxi 10 dollars to take you 1 and a half km up the road..... go for it. The taxis are variable.... some reasonable price... some a bit greedy,,,,, If you walk... chances are... one of the locals will pick you up.... Such friendly people.

I enjoy getting far away from the tourist crowds when I travel to the islands, especially to see the people of the land and their way of life. Lautoka is an awesome place to get an insight of the beautiful Fijian culture, its people and community, and the real Fiji. You can count on many big smiles and ‘have a blessed day’s as you wander around the streets and parks. Life is simple here, just as it should be 💕

Lovely to see village life out of town , market , shops...

Lovely to see village life out of town , market , shops dutyfree, do activities on other islands and outside of lautoka. Great Chinese restaurant main town , Pizza at lautoka hotel, life cafes serve great cheap tasty meals .

the 2nd largest city in Fiji, quiet and unassuming during the christmas week. The town is only open to a mall and a few shops during public holidays and one is assured of a bright blue sky and sun through out the day.

Not much of a tourist vibe, nice to see the real Fijian side...

Not much of a tourist vibe, nice to see the real Fijian side of the island. People very friendly but taxis happy to charge more than they should. A couple days to relax is enough but wouldn't plan the whole holiday around this area, 3 day's of your trip is more than enough.

Landers Bay is set in a very quiet isolated location, a taxi is required to visit anywhere but well worth it. The accommodation was lovely and the beach, bar, restaurants were a minutes walk from our room. A great place to unwind and just relax. We had quite a bit of rain but being warm rain, it did not matter. We did not visit Lautoka as were happy staying at the resort.

I liked everything about Tanoa. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our rooms were exactly what we paid for and also location. My parents arrived first, and they couldn't have been more accommodating. We had rooms on the 2nd floor, but because my parents are both elderly and both had walking sticks, they relocated our rooms on ground level. Thanks, Tanoa Hotel.

Great Host,beautiful home with lots of space..aircon in all rooms was great with the heat 🥵 in Lautoka.great location and communication with Dennis was made easy..Had a new washing machine and Dryer brought to the house while staying there..Easy parking and Safe with Alarm system. Highly recommend.
