I loved everything about this place. Staff the most! They are so nice, warm and welcoming that u instantly feel beloging. The reef is stunning and u should spend every free time to snorkle or dive but deffinitelly my favorite thing about my stay was planting corals with Gabby. Mareia and Jolame are the loveliest hosts you can imagine. I was the only guest there but they still took so much time for a full day trip to do the reef shark snorkeling with me and a nice island for picnic. They food was always fresh and so delicious. They were welcoming me like a family member. Vinaka vaka levu!

Maikai and his family were generous, kind and extremely accommodating, including us in welcome ceremonies and a family picnic. The room was great, spacious, private and clean. The location is right next to a village where the people are friendly and you can look around the kindergarten and get to know the people and round the corner from a resort too where you can do activities if you like. We had a great few days here and would’ve loved to stay longer. It’s an excellent homestay.

Overall a different vacation style for me. With that said the staff, who made a great effort to know your name was very accommodating and when there was an issue it was resolved quickly. In. nutshell the staff was amazing.

The lounge area at the beach, fantastic snorkeling, the view from the restaurant, sunset beach and lovely staff were the highlights to me. Tree huts are simple but functional, shared bathroom facilities are great. There was so much love put in everywhere. Food was amazing, porridge & kokoda were especially amazing. Did the sunrise walk too, such lovely experience. Thank you very much, I will be back!

For those looking for an outstanding location and excellent accomodation, I highly recommend Waya Island Resort. Awesome environment and atmosphere. The standout features and superb service from staff who go above and beyond. The meals are excellent. There is great snorkelling and stand-up paddlebording included. Highly recommend the village visit and picnic. Ultimately, for those looking for a place to just relax and wind down (without kids); this is a place to put on top of the list of locations in the Yasawa Islands.
