We wanted something nice, close to the harbour, and this was excellent. The room they gave us was amazing, and the price suited our budget. We took breakfast downstairs and was also very nice. Strongly recommended.

for the price paid at lest a breakfast included, i paid with tax $539 fijian dollars cash , and i did not have a nice receptioniste, she was chinese could not speak english proplerly, she should of excuse herself and give me to another person so the communication boundaries went well, I was dressed simple and she took me mybe for a local, I was not greeted with a refreshment either, I dont have to say I'm from Noumea the little Paris of the Pacific.

Stayed here for numerous times since 2009 when it was still Raffles Gateway Hotel, was happy with the place hence we booked it again this time for our short transit in Fiji. Walking distance to the airport, although a free shuttle is available 24/7. The room is excellent but it is not cheap though. Location is not near any stores but the hotel is sufficient if you are not planning to wonder around nearby.

Denarau is beautiful and clean, everyone is very friendly...

Denarau is beautiful and clean, everyone is very friendly and respectful, the staff are just lovely people. We played golf a couple of times and went on a half day boat trip, slide off the side of the boat , jumping off the top deck if you wanted to and snorkeling around the reef was just amazing. This boat trip was a big highlight. Food was very good everywhere we ate. Overall our trip was fantastic and can’t wait to come back.

If staying in Denarau get a Bula Bus ticket $12 for the whole day unlimited rides from 7 am? until 11 pm. it circulates every 15 minutes - so much fun and easy to get around. Loved Bonefish at Port Denarau for meal and cocktails (and other restaurants lovely too) The bakery is amazing - really cheap tasty fresh food - bread was only $1.60 Fiji dollars Some lovely shops and also spa treatments, henna tattoo and braiding available. Sails restaurant is also a great spot for a sneaky drink or two and/or lunch/dinner. We had a drink and light snack there while waiting for our ferry out to Tokoriki Island - amazing!

We spent an incredible week in Fiji and are already looking forward to our next visit. Denarau provided a safe and welcoming environment, and we thoroughly enjoyed meeting the friendly locals. Our stay at the Hilton was exceptional, surpassing all our expectations. The Bula Bus was a fantastic way to explore the area, making our holiday experience even more enjoyable.

Denarau is a good safe place to go with your family and Port...

Denarau is a good safe place to go with your family and Port Denarau has affordable shops with lots to do. Great to go from one resort to another however morally I didn't feel right spending all my money at the resorts who appear to be the only ones that profit from it. Didn't feel right that the original landowners get nothing due to their government law change and the people who maintain and work at the resort get paid peanuts. Big Bula was too expensive don't know how they justify their rates but made sure my kids got their money's worth. All in all think Denarau is a bit overrated.

Denarau is a controlled entry island with multiple resorts...

Denarau is a controlled entry island with multiple resorts and tourism options. It really is built for the tourist and is not an 'authentic Fijian' place. It is however very clean, safe, and ideal for families who need everything in close proximity. There is a fantastic Bula Bus which takes you around the different resorts and to the port which has a multitude of shopping and tourism options.

Very beautiful island however it’s very dark on the roads at...

Very beautiful island however it’s very dark on the roads at night, really needs street lights. And remark the speed humps on the road, for new comers it’s invincible. The pay parking at the centre Denarau shops. We had dinner for maybe 2hr and it only cost 4.50 and the next night we only stay for an hr or less and it cost 5.80 how does that work out like that. But a very beautiful place. I don’t have photos but please have a look at night.

Loved our one bedroom beachfront suite. It was a little sanctuary with sun streaming into the balcony and coconut palms and beautiful gardens to provide some privacy. The staff are incredible! The most friendly, family focused, no request was too difficult. Loved the baby sitting service for our 10 month old, he was in good hands supported by Sala, the nanny. Great check in and bag drop service available at the hotel to avoid airport queues. Loved being close to the airport and accessible to Port Denarau to access other islands

The two bedroom apartment was huge. We were only here for one night but there was so much space and everything you could need for a longer stay. Two bathrooms as well which was a nice surprise. Very clean, spacious and well equipped. Right next to the port which is why we chose this one for our first night in Fiji before heading out to the islands. It’s the closest to the port. Very happy we chose the Palms.

The service was very good. The staff were very welcoming and very helpful. Room was very clean, had everything we needed. You can catch the Bula bus to the Marina to shop, catch a boat to an activity, eat/drink at eateries, get a massage at Pure Fiji Spa etc. Golf course was just opposite hotel, hubby loved that. Plenty for families to do 🧡🧡🧡

Wifi is the worse in Denarau. We are members at Wyndham and also stayed at the Villas. Breakfast was ok, staff at child minding area were lazy. Facilities for adults and kids are probably best on the island.
