Very nice! Reccomended for someone who wants to be in nature. The house is in forest and there is lake in the front. we saw northe lights just outside. what a preety view :)

Sensational. It exceeded expectations. Even with temperatures of minus 20ºC, the cabin and the igloo were very comfortable. Extremely well equipped for cooking. The distance to the igloo was not a problem. Having a car is recommended, but it doesn't have to be 4-wheel drive. 50 min easy drive to Rovaniemi. Go to the market before because you won't want to leave.

Everything was perfect! We loved the cabin, the area and the beds. Incredible experience staying at the cabin. We loved using the sauna and taking cold baths in the lake. I would definitely recommend this accomodation to my friends and family.

This place was immaculately kept and the owners are clearly very proud of their property. The table was set beautifully for us on our arrival and the lovely Christmas tree was a wonderful touch. The kids rushed to the small sleds on the porch and had a blast while I prepared dinner in the fully equipped kitchen. The beds were comfy and the rooms well appointed. The sauna is incredible with digital control and the whole space feels so inviting. The owners left treats for the kids and it felt like a very personal touch. Wish I could give this place a 100/10. And that's without even speaking of the great value for the area. A short drive from Rovaniemi and all the wonderful Christmas themed attractions. Would recommend and would definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

House was in a great location. Quite remote, which makes it even better. Perfect size for two families. Kitchen was equipped very well with all the necessary equipment. I think it would be a great place to visit at summer as well. Only one hour drive from Rovaniemi. Absolutely no problems with the owner or key handover in out of the check in time.

We have just got back from the most perfect stay at Rentola! Me, my partner and our son travelled to Lapland to explore the area and of course see Santa, but our favourite part of the whole experience was this beautiful cottage! Mauri was there on arrival to show us around (which was so kind as our flight was delayed for 2 hours and it was so late when we arrived, so we were very grateful he waited for us.) On arrival we had a welcome pack which included biscuits for my son to decorate - very thoughtful and he loved this activity. They also bought games for him to play and decorations for him to decorate the tree which was so kind. It made us feel at home straight away! We are so grateful to have experienced this beautiful, cosy cottage. It’s got everything you need; comfy beds, fully equipped kitchen, a private sauna and one of the best bits - a private hut with a fire pit! We loved sitting around the fire and having a bbq, drinking wine. It was perfect. Also everything was so clean and tidy. Oh and nice and warm! We were worried about the cold but it was so nice and warm inside the cottage. Surroundings were beautiful, it was so peaceful and waking up to the lake in the morning and watching the sunrise was a real highlight for me - absolutely stunning! The communication from both Mauri and Seija was fantastic from the moment we booked until the very end of our trip, it really made the whole experience so easy! We are already thinking about when we can next come back to Rentola as we loved it (and Lapland!) so much. Thanks Mauri and Seija for a fantastic stay!!

The location of the property is stunning, and we’ll definitely miss waking up to the views in the morning! Miika was so welcoming, and we loved meeting his dogs! The property itself is really cosy and everything we needed! We loved coming in from a day in the snow and relaxing by the log burning fire. We were lucky enough to experience winter arriving, and saw reindeer grazing around in the snow right outside our window! We’ll definitely be back to this magical place!

Absolutely amazing! This was the Lapland cabin that dreams are made of, with everything you need while still being in the middle of nature. The kitchen was well equipped, there was a sauna and hot tub that worked perfectly, and it was all around incredibly nice and comfortable to relax here. The surrounding nature is beautiful, and asides from the occasional car driving by in the distance (which didn’t bother us at all), it is a very quiet area. Sanna is a great host who was kind enough to keep us updated about the Northern Lights around the property, so we wouldn’t miss out on seeing them. We would love to return!

I really liked the kitchen; it had a complete set of tableware and cookware, and even included seasonings. The facilities worked well. The house was very spacious, and both the bed and sofa were very comfortable. The landlord was very kind and provided a lot of assistance! Although the location was somewhat remote, there were forests and other places nearby to explore. The landlord even provided a small sled, which was adorable.
