Lovely property a drive away from Ranua Zoo. This place is in the countryside, on a farm with dairy cows, and hosted by a really friendly family. The property is comfortable and spacious with all of the basics you will need (do go to the supermarket/shops before arriving as otherwise you have a long drive there and back). We slept very well, with no noise or disturbances (we were a family of 4, with 2 small kids). The sauna, overlooking the lake, is *really* something. Bring your swimclothes. Our stay at Villa Huilinki was an unforgettable winter escape. The super friendly host welcomed us personally on December 31st, even buying groceries for us in advance so we could enjoy a perfect New Year’s Eve. The location was a dream, nestled in the quiet woods by a frozen lake, offering complete peace and serenity. We were incredibly lucky to witness the northern lights on our first night! The villa was warm, cozy, and comfortable, featuring a Jacuzzi and two amazing saunas—an electric one inside and a traditional wood-fired sauna by the lake. We also tried ice fishing, with the host kindly providing all the gear for us. For a few days, we had our own private winter paradise, with no one around—just nature, tranquility, and relaxation. It was an absolute dream, and we highly recommend Villa Huilinki for an unforgettable getaway! A huge thank you to our amazing host for the warm welcome and all the thoughtful gestures.
