Staff was super friendly, especially Laura who gave us recommendations for sights and restaurants and also wine and food in the restaurant. Due to our slightly complicated booming setup, 3 different bookings over a week, we thought we were gonna have to move around, but the blond guy in receptions sorted us out so we had 1 room for the whole time. Food in restaurant was excellent, especially the peppered reindeer steak. The Sauna was fantastic as well, and a proper ice pool to dip in! Crazy good Showers.

Our stay at Ruka Center Chalet 3B4 – Ski-In / Ski-Out from December 12 to 19 was outstanding and fully deserves a 9.9/10 rating. The chalet benefits from an exceptional location, offering true ski-in/ski-out access and immediate proximity to all essential services, making our stay extremely convenient. Cleanliness was impeccable throughout, and the chalet was very comfortable, well designed, and fully equipped for an extended stay. The sauna functioned perfectly and was ideal for relaxing after long days. In addition, the washing machine, stove, and dishwasher all worked flawlessly, adding to the overall comfort and practicality of the accommodation. Special mention goes to the host, who was consistently attentive, responsive, and helpful, always available to answer questions promptly. Overall, this was an excellent experience that we would highly recommend without hesitation

Ruka it's a small ski village where you have all you need...

Ruka it's a small ski village where you have all you need for your winter holidays. Plenty of ski resort with efficient lifts. gondolas and other facilities. The center has all you need for a nice stay: shops, cafes, restaurant, ski schools, ski rentals and all the rest you need. With a short trip by car you can reach other ski areas and as well other winter activities such as ice-karting, snowmobile tours, reindeer feeding, reindeer sleigh tours, husky sleigh tours. Great for the pro and the novice skiers. Prices are on the high side (but's high season, you should expect that, isn't it?).

RUKA is a fabulous area, the people are really friendly, shops, restaurants and bars have great opening times over the Christmas period and cater for all needs. The ski school is brilliant and the equipment staff are so helpful even when terribly busy. We’ve been 4 times to RUKA twice visiting Santa 2.5 hrs away but have used RUKA as a base because of the skiing. We can’t fault it and have already book for Christmas 2025

The nature and activities for all ages were great. Beautiful place to rest and recharge and to be at peace. We stayed in a log cabin and prepared our meals by ourselves, but there were several places to eat in at the Ruka centre if preferred.

Good place to explore national parks nearby or start outdoor activities (such as fishing, rafting etc with local guides). Should be exellent for skiing and other winter activities as well. Don't miss Wild Food Restaurant Rukan Kuksa.

Great place in winter wonderland.

Great place in winter wonderland. While the hill is not particularly high, the ski is great and geared mostly towards beginner and intermediate skiers. Great cross-country skiing as well. Ruka village is lively and with good selection of bars and restaurants.

Beautiful cottage by a lake with own beach & deck area. The location is great near Ruka services, a little over half an hour drive from Riisitunturi and Oulanka National Park (Pieni Karhunkierros). The kitchen is fully equipped, the beds super comfortable, bathroom and sauna great and there were no mosquitos inside :) the view from the big windows was great -but maybe blinds / light curtains would be good for total privacy?

The chalet was clean, warm, cosy and well equipped. The owners are really friendly and happy to help and accommodate. It was a 15 minute walk into Ruka centre, there is a supermarket less than ten minute walk. The closest ski lift is less than ten minute walk across the lake.

Absolutely stunning setting. The staff were extremely accommodating and breakfast was delicious. Sauna and spa were heavenly to unwind in after a full day in the beautiful surroundings. Close to restaurants in Ruka, hiking trails and shops.

Large and comfortable house in a quiet area close to Ruka. Perfect for 8 people and very clean. We enjoyed the sauna and the fireplace everyday after the activities outdoors! Great communication with the host and easy check-in.
