The location was perfect, only a few minutes walk to thr Ruka Village. Enough space to accommodate 3 people. Very warm inside which is great considering how cold it is outside, also a large dryer to dry any clothing.

Located right into the mountains, this place was perfect for my summer getaway. The host provided excellent tips on local eateries and attractions. The apartment was spotless, beautiful decorated with the best part; the sauna. I also read on booking that the internet connection was slow but during my stay it worked properly, super fast and stable.

Ruka it's a small ski village where you have all you need...

Ruka it's a small ski village where you have all you need for your winter holidays. Plenty of ski resort with efficient lifts. gondolas and other facilities. The center has all you need for a nice stay: shops, cafes, restaurant, ski schools, ski rentals and all the rest you need. With a short trip by car you can reach other ski areas and as well other winter activities such as ice-karting, snowmobile tours, reindeer feeding, reindeer sleigh tours, husky sleigh tours. Great for the pro and the novice skiers. Prices are on the high side (but's high season, you should expect that, isn't it?).

RUKA is a fabulous area, the people are really friendly,...

RUKA is a fabulous area, the people are really friendly, shops, restaurants and bars have great opening times over the Christmas period and cater for all needs. The ski school is brilliant and the equipment staff are so helpful even when terribly busy. We’ve been 4 times to RUKA twice visiting Santa 2.5 hrs away but have used RUKA as a base because of the skiing. We can’t fault it and have already book for Christmas 2025

The nature and activities for all ages were great.

The nature and activities for all ages were great. Beautiful place to rest and recharge and to be at peace. We stayed in a log cabin and prepared our meals by ourselves, but there were several places to eat in at the Ruka centre if preferred.

Good place to explore national parks nearby or start outdoor activities (such as fishing, rafting etc with local guides). Should be exellent for skiing and other winter activities as well. Don't miss Wild Food Restaurant Rukan Kuksa.

Great place in winter wonderland.

Great place in winter wonderland. While the hill is not particularly high, the ski is great and geared mostly towards beginner and intermediate skiers. Great cross-country skiing as well. Ruka village is lively and with good selection of bars and restaurants.

Compact and convenient for most things.

Compact and convenient for most things. Skiiers used to Alpine ski resorts will find it small but it has good snow and being amongst trees is lovely. Bear in mind that beginners wanting the easiest slopes should be at the Valley side not the Village side or else you'll need to bus/gondola across.

Beautiful quiet location with an amazing view, but close to a ski lift to get to Ruka village. Easy to park, short drive to the supermarket. Helpful hosts with thoughtful touches like a bar of chocolate left out and Christmas decorations. We loved the sauna and drying cupboard. Kitchen was well equipped.

The location of this property is amazing, and it is clean and furnished to a high standard. The host is extremely helpful and was very responsive when dealing with my requests. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone who is planning to stat in Ruka.

very cosy wooden cottage, well situated in the middle of the forest but only a short walk from the super market and tour providers. it’s a 30min walk to Ruka village. The fireplace and the sauna is a big plus.

Very nice apartment in Ruka village. Loved that the owner had thought of little kitchen items such as tin foil and cling film. Sauna was lovely after a cold day on the slopes.
