First of all, the location of the property is incredibly beautiful. Located in the middle of nature directly on a lake. The perfect place to recharge your batteries. The house is small and super cozy. It is equipped with everything you need and nothing is left to be desired. The sauna is also a big plus. We used them every day. There are sledges at the house with which you can toboggan right down the entrance to the house to the lake. The house is very clean and it also has a wood stove that you can use. It's incredibly cozy and we loved our days there. Katja's reindeer farm is 2 km from the house. Also worth a visit! We landed in Rovaniemi and had a rental car from there. The accommodation cannot be reached without a car.

Myself, wife and 8 year old daughter stayed here for 3 nights and our stay was absolutely perfect. This Finnish cottage is more than just a stay—it’s an unforgettable experience :-) Set against the backdrop of a frozen lake and surrounded by snow-blanketed forests, our stay truly felt like a Christmas movie. We loved the Sauna experiences, and having access to the lake if we dared to dip ! Making the log fire was my privilege that provided a comforting glow and plenty of warmth, day and night. The cottage was very comfortable with everything we needed and more ! Credit to Carolina and Jonas who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was simply outstanding. They are the best Hosts EVER !!!!!!!

On arrival we were welcomed by the really friendly owners, who showed us everything needed for a comfortable stay. Even helped us with making fire in the sauna. Kitchen well equiped if you want to cook. Property is in a quiet and private location, great for a relaxing weekend.

Awesomeness in a small package. It was very exciting for us to experience a Yurt in Finland, as "Yurt" has it's roots in old Turkish - meaning "Home". Although the weather was cold, the Yurt itself was pleasantly warm. Everything looks very basic at first glance. However it proves to be very sufficient and even very refreshing so that it is just perfect. Gigi is a very kind and helpful person. Gigi recommended an app for the northern lights. However we were a bit unlucky and the weather did not allow us to see the northern lights. She offered us free Marshmellows as a compensation, which was very sweet. We will be back next year and stay again at Yurt District and this time we will bring a little surprise with us from Türkiye for Gigi. Thank you for everything 💙
