Absolutely amazing hotel, everything was highly satisfying and exceptional. The apartment is clean, spacious and modern, features a very well equipped kitchen, a private sauna, a great sized bathroom, a nicely furnished living room with a dining area and a separate bedroom. We liked that here are enough place for your stuff as there are spacious wardrobes in the apartment, so you could feel yourself totally at home, as you don't need to dress up from your luggage. Heat was perfect, we never felt cold. Bed is very comfy and has a great size. The area is quiet, calm and yet centered, easy to reach anything by walk. Last, but not least the staff was very nice and friendly all the time, they helped us whenever we had a question and never had to wait even for a minute at the reception to get someone who could help us. We liked that there are photos on the wall, which shows you how this building served the society in the past. I have stayed at most of the worldwide known hotel chains and this hotel has definitely overperformed many of the big names. Would love to come back and I wish we could stay here for weeks or even for months as well. :)

Apartment was clean and new. Communication was excellent with the hosts. I managed to book this apartment on very short notice 2 hours before I arrived as I had been hiking in UKK park for one week out of cell phone coverage. It was so nice to sauna and relax after the long hike.

For its location and hospitality, it stands out as one of the best places to truly experience Lapland. I loved it. Matt, minna and samu are s friendly and helpful. Had a lovely log cabin with fridge, micro and kettle. It has, a cafe and a bar and is right by the river. It a 40 min walk into town but I like walking and it follows the river. Thanks guys. X

Ivalo itself was cute.

Ivalo itself was cute. Not too touristy, much quieter than places close by and everyone so friendly with a well stocked supermarket. Not too many places to eat but it depends what you’re looking for. As a young family, it was perfect for us!

Ivalo is not big, but it is strategically positioned between Rovaniemi and Inari. Amazing location to admire the northern lights and visit Inari. Nature is incredible and it looks less touristy than Rovaniemi.

Best place to view Northern lights.

Best place to view Northern lights. Unique Husky ride , and snow mobile tours. Winter sports like skiing , cross country , snow walking. Dreamy Winter Wonderland landscape ! Everything covered in snow is a picture perfect view . Stay in a Glass Igloo cabin to view Northern lights ( weather permitted) Renting a car is highly recommended , easy to get around even on an icy road . We used Alamo . Excellent car . Book all your tours in advance to avoid disappointment . Have fun and enjoy the cold . Be prepare to bring thermal clothing . Ivalo is a perfect Winter Wonderland Destination !

Ivalo is a quiet place for nature and sport lovers.

Ivalo is a quiet place for nature and sport lovers. A great place to take a rest from busy life and see SNOW in time of climate change. The shops in the centre offer everything you may need and even far in the forest your mobile will still get the signal.

We enjoyed watching the northern lights in the outskirts of the city ... Dont expect the colorful northern lights as you see it in the photos and videos in the Internet , mostly it will be in white color only... Ivalo Hotel club nord and northerlightsriders.fi arrange the best tours which we hired. They showed us the lights in the better places around Ivalo and inari... Apart from norther lights, snowmobile, skiing and other sports activities are available but we did not try those things.

The cottage was spacious for one person, everything you need...

The cottage was spacious for one person, everything you need was there. The kitchen, shower rooms and toilets were close by and the plus was that the showers were separate, so not all in the same room. Friendly staff. I recommend this place to stay!

Well equipped kitchen and in walking distance of the airport if you are a bit adventerous (about 40 minute walk, a third of it in darkness without street lights walking on the road without sidewalk), but there is a bus stop nearby and taxis are available. overall nice hotel.
