Beautiful guest house—it was like staying in a warm hug. Every corner of their home radiated love, care, and the kind of peace you usually need a yoga retreat and three scented candles to find. We left well-rested and slightly suspicious that we may have accidentally joined their family.

We spent a few days at Koli Freetime and enjoyed every single moment. The location is so peaceful, the staff was very friendly. The cottage is perfect for a family of four. We also loved the small sauna cottage with access to the lake for ice bathing. The cross country track starts directly at the property. Temperatures were really low (-31 degrees Celsius in the morning) but the cottage was warm and cozy. Big thanks for providing providing country skis for our grandson free of charge. We can absolutely recommend the place if you love the peacefulness of the Finnish nature.

Extremely friendly and accommodating staff, and very knowledgeable about the area. Great location for hiking in Koli National Park. Rooms were spacious and had all the facilities needed. Fire pit/grill was prepared for an easy light.

There was nothing extra to do.

There was nothing extra to do. We went to the water but it was impossible to get there, the accesses were only private. We were in the city of Joensuu. Quite a small town, where there was not much to see. Definitely don't go to the botanical garden - it's not worth it. We stayed at the campsite at the exit from the Koli National Park. (We were supposed to camp right in the park but we couldn't because of the mosquitoes and we overestimated our strength)

Peaceful location in the middle of nature by the pond.

Peaceful location in the middle of nature by the pond. A lakeside sauna where you could swim near the pond. The breakfast was sufficient and good. The owners were friendly and gave hiking tips. We can recommend the place to others.

Excellent.

Excellent. I can recommend it for both summer and winter accommodation. The cottages were clean and well equipped, homely. The hosts took great care of the guests. A positive surprise was that the time of our stay was taken into account in the decorations of the cottage, as well as the kick sleds and cross-country trails nearby. Wonderful wooden sauna. Many thanks to the hosts, we really felt welcome here.
