This is a new hotel with very friendly staff that speak very good English. The rooms are very clean and house keeping does a good job. It is very near the airport and many other attractions. I would come back and stay here anytime.

"I had a wonderful stay at Mesay Hotel! The room was very clean. I would like to thank the hotel manager, Yohanes, for his hospitality, welcoming and seeing off guests, and his attention to every aspect. The staff were very friendly. The spa services were excellent. The only downside was the limited breakfast options. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for your next trip!"

Addis Ababa has a lot to offer to anyone traveling to Ethiopia. I was able to patronize several top notch restaurants and really enjoyed myself. I came in contact with some very professional people providing various services from parks, ride drivers, hotel staff, security, and more that represent Ethiopia, Addis Ababa, Bole very well. I was able to rest, relax, unwind, and Addis Ababa helped me enjoy my vacation time off from work. Looking forward to my next trip.

This is best visited with a guide .

This is best visited with a guide . Our guide took us to Signum Vitae ... a non-governmental organization dedicated to rehabilitating and improving the lives of disabled people . It is wonderful to see how they make eye-glasses in the facility they have . We also visited the Sabahar fabric workshop ... in a great , peaceful location with lots of trees and flowers . They make [ and sell ] gorgeous things from hand-woven and hand-dyed materials. We visited " Lucy " in the National Museum , and saw the palatial residence of Ethiopia's former emperor Heile Selassie in the Ethnological Museum . The coffee in Ethiopia is excellent !

Be prepared for lots of holes in the sidewalks , and people begging/soliciting . We always felt slightly uneasy when going for a walk , and the many construction sites have you walking in the street with seemingly inconsiderate drivers . We spent more time in the hotel because walking around wasn't enjoyable .

Despite that it was really rainy, we managed to go to Unity...

Despite that it was really rainy, we managed to go to Unity Park, Entot Park, Technology Museum, visit the Palace Museum and went shopping for traditional clothing at Shiro Meda and the leather market. I definitely recommend the palace museum visit.
