I recently stayed at Casa Aura and had an amazing experience! The hotel is nestled in the heart of beautiful Vejer, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. Nice and tranquil hotel for a relaxing stay. We have noticed that in that region it is more windy - but the beaches going down is about 15 - 20 min by car. Nearby Vajer de la Frontera town is located - highly recommend to visit.

Stunning town with a ridiculous amount of excellent bars and restaurants serving top quality food at a fraction of the price you would pay in the UK. Very Spanish (obviously) and everyone super friendly and accommodating. Lots to see and do around and not far from Cádiz. You do need a car which you can park for free at the bottom of the town and then walk up - it is incredible hilly and steep so proper shoes recommended! Beautiful main plaza with fountain and tapas places and restaurants. Highly recommend.

The town of Vejer de la Frontera is slightly off the beaten...

The town of Vejer de la Frontera is slightly off the beaten path but worth the side trip. Beafutiful views of the valley below and several walks you can take to different parts of town. The Spanish square is a fine place tuio sit on the benches and people watch and check out the interesting shops nearby. We happened to be there when a Spring Fiesta was happening and saw many beautiful women of all ages dressed in their Flamenco finery. The Tugasa Convent was an authentic old building well updated with a very good restaurant on the upper square. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

A beautiful, picturesque and interesting place to visit. Lots of great restaurants (and one notably bad one) and bars. As well some interesting shops. Two nights is enough. Great to walk around and enjoy the village although most inhabitants are foreigners. I would not recommend visiting in summer or winter. If you are at all infirm be aware that it is very hilly.

Vejer de la Frontera is a delightful place steeped in history set atop a hill. Prepare for steep walks through narrow streets. In October we found many restaurants closed or only open certain days or only for dinner. It is a lovely place to get away from it all for a few days.

It is one of the best villages of Andalusia.

It is one of the best villages of Andalusia. It was our third time there. This is an autentical "Pueblo blanco" with an amazing view for the sea. You have a lot of restaurantes, typical shops, and very cozy streets to walk.

Vejer is a quaint, white village in Andalusia.

Vejer is a quaint, white village in Andalusia. An excellent tour can be purchased on Voicemap for less than 6 Euros. It is filled with a wealth of history and culture of Vejer. The App works amazingly well allowing us to browse a shop that we came across and then continuing after we left the shop. The guide is Carlos Milburn. Unless one has mobility issues the car can be parked and visitors can walk through the town throughout their stay. There are many restaurants, cafes, etc. to choose from. Be aware of holidays when visiting Vejer as all the shops, etc shutter. Except for peak tourist season even the restaurants might not be serving food on a holiday.

Beautiful hotel in the centre of Vejer. We had the Azulejo room which was accessed from a steep side street off of the plaza. Big room with a huge terrace overlooking the surrounding hills. Unfortunately,it was raining so didn’t use the pool. There’s a wonderful rooftop bar to watch the sunset from. The restaurant was superb. Very tasty North African food in a beautiful courtyard. Very interesting building. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The decor of the hotel was outstanding with a riyadh in the centre with a water feature. The staff were so welcoming and happy to do anything we asked. The food was superb and the swimming pool was in such a wonderful situation with plenty of places to sit and beautiful views towards the coast. The room had a mini fridge, kettle and a GOOD hairdryer.
