Lovely place for a disconnect from the usual daily grind. Warm staff, lovely facilities, fantastic chef for our lunch meal (seriously, the highlight of the stay, unexpectedly good meal for such a small place!), nice wines, peace and quiet, what more can you ask for. There are only 8 rooms, all in the same building and facing vineyards. We got one of the two suites which are bigger but it seemed the other rooms were also very nice, just a bit smaller (also had a small outside terrace and views on the vines).

Such a cosy place with everything you need. It’s also quiet at night. I was with my bicycle so the ground floor entrance was nice! The host is super kind and came to meet me right away. Highly recommend.

The hotel is near the highway, very busy with construction workers, noisy, nothing special. I ate in the dining room. I don't know if it's easy to get around; we needed the highway, it's right next door. For one evening, we were tired and didn't look into the activities.

It is a simple, quiet town, dedicated to wine, you can visit the underground wineries on a guided tour by the town hall and other wineries of the Utiel-Requena denomination. They have just finished restoring the church, which had been under construction for several years.

Utiel has beautiful scenery.

Utiel has beautiful scenery. If you enjoy vineyards and visiting wineries, you absolutely must visit. Many wineries also offer accommodation; they tend to be charming places, perfect for ultimate relaxation. I can't comment on the town itself because I didn't visit it, only the surrounding area.

Visiting the wineries is a great option; guided tours are available from the tourist office, and if you have time, you can visit private ones. The town is easily explored on foot, and strolling through the streets of the old town is a pleasant experience.

I didn't find the town appealing at all.

I didn't find the town appealing at all. What's more, we almost got a ticket from a rather unfriendly policewoman for parking where we shouldn't have, having failed to notice the "No Parking" sign at the beginning of the street (they really should put up more signs along the way). It's definitely not a place I'd return to.

Excellent communication before arrival. We were greeted on arrival by Sergio and shown around this gem of a place that we used as a stopover on the way to Barcelona. The accommodation is rustic and authentic and has been our favourite place to stay after 4 weeks travelling around France and Spain. The evening meal was outstanding, as was the wine. Breakfast was a continental style but was done very well and was very tasty. I am sitting here in a soulless chain hotel wishing I was back here.

A great location when travelling from Valencia to Madrid with safe parking behind the hotel, good food in the cafe with a small shop for basic items, a short walk into Utiel.

The hotel staff were welcoming and helpful. I forgot some luggage in my room and the staff looked after it for me until I could return 3 days later to collect it.
