Just perfect place to visit Fuerteventura. El Cotillo is a small but beautiful kind of village. In the apartment there was absolutely EVERYTHING what you may need: very well equipped kitchen, all dishes, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, washing machine, little patio, pool on the roof with a beautiful view, table with enough space for 5 people, very comfortable beds... Absolutely everything. It was the best equipped apartment I've ever rented! Very close to the beach, shops, restaurants and cafes. All around very nice and helpful people. Just around the house there was a lot of space to park the car as well. I sincerely recommend this apartment. Contact with host with absolutely no problem at all.

Yeriel and his family were so lovely to deal with......but its the location that really sells this groundfloor apartment...beach front and facing west so perfect for glorious sunsets. We would highly recommend this apartment to solo travellers and couples....check out the french style bakery just around the corner!!!!

Great location, close to supermarket and lovely Italian takeaway. Apartment very well appointed. Short walk to restaurants and beaches. Katja is a fabulous host, nothing was too much trouble, very responsive to queries, definitely goes the extra mile.

El Cotillo is one of our favourite places on earth. Love the laid back vide, fabulous beaches (many to choose from), loads of great restaurants. No “ brits abroad” places, still authentic Canarian. The tower cranes have turned up now with lots of development going on at the north side of the village. I hope this doesn’t effect the vibe or make it over crowded in future. I’d say you need to get here now before it changes.

It’s heartbreaking to see how El Cotillo has changed.

It’s heartbreaking to see how El Cotillo has changed. What was once a charming, peaceful fishing village has turned into a loud and uninviting construction zone. There is hardly a single place left where you can truly find quiet. Sadly, I can no longer recommend El Cotillo as a holiday destination.

El Cotillo is a beautiful village that we have been visiting...

El Cotillo is a beautiful village that we have been visiting for 18 years now. It is not full of karaoke bars and English pubs as we like to experience the local culture. There are many restaurants to try out and all of good quality and reasonable prices. The locals do appreciate if you attempt to speak their language which we always do as I think it is a respectful thing to do. My only concern for this amazing village is the number of new apartments they are now building and whether the charms of the village will be overtaken by large scale tourism.

Excellent resort for us, a 50/60s couple who enjoy relaxing on the beach followed by good choice of restaurants with access to a decent supermarket. Enjoyed eating out, of particular note were Santa Ana-cod, Las Cazuelitas-sea bass, Pizzeria Marameo-spiced meat lasagne, The only place we eat twice was Los Cazadores -beef with teriyaki and the steak with mushroom sauce- a hole in the wall place frequented by locals. It is though also really good for those with children, sandy beaches, sheltered swimming but with bikes, surfing available. Easy driving from the airport, on a bus route, available via coach transfer companies, we use Hoppa. Easy to walk across town, for us about 20 minutes slight rise/slope -not a hill-going south, most noticeable by old harbour but all accessible. Town sandwiched by the different style beaches. May be considered quiet in the evening by those seeking live music/dancing.

We very much liked the old part of town, especially the area...

We very much liked the old part of town, especially the area with restaurants and bars around the cove. We ate extremely well (twice) at the Blue Cow and the smaller place with outside tables facing the sea. It was only a ten minute walk from the much more built up area where we stayed, which was full of holiday rentals, hotels and ex-pat homes. The town clearly attracts loads of surfers, many of whom stay in campervans which are parked all over town and round the cliffs. There is quite a hippy feel to parts of town.

El Cotillo is clearly an up and coming resort and has grown...

El Cotillo is clearly an up and coming resort and has grown in the few years we have been visiting. It's popular with surfers and there are lots of bars and restaurants, but it is much smaller and less busy than Corralejo just across the island. Being on the West side of the island, it also gets the sunsets unlike Corralejo. There are plenty of beaches to choose from depending on what you are after, some with lovely golden sand. There are naturist beach options to the north and south. Some beaches are suitable for surfing, but the big waves limit swimming options. There is a Friday evening craft market in El Cotillo, and two or three supermarkets. It's very popular with motorhomes and camper vans - they are parked up all around the town.

Casa Aloe Vera is a beautifully presented apartment, decorated to a very high standard. It offers ample space for a family of four with two children, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The balcony and roof terrace provide amazing views over the pool and beach, making it the perfect place to relax. El Cotillo has everything you need—chilled vibes, strong coffee, and clean food right at your doorstep. The white sandy beaches and the harbor, with its perfect sunsets, add to the charm of the location.

The location is very good, walking distance to the beach. There's a supermarket next door and some small shops. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel tries very hard to keep the facilities clean. I would have given it a 10/10 if only our room would have been cleaned better on a daily basis... We found a lot of other people's hair on our room floor. The breakfast is very good too. Vast and big.

Very quiet location but only 2 mins by car to La Concha beach or El Cotillo town. Amazing view from the terasse towards town and the coast. Great for star gazing and watching the sunset. The double bed is super comfy and so is the living area sofa. Suso, our host, was always quick to respond and gave us ideas for activities and places to eat.

This house is fantastic. It is truly like a home from home. Wonderful views and unforgettable sunsets. Hosts are extremely helpful and kind - nothing was too much trouble. El Cotillo is a beautiful fishing village with fabulous beaches - it has a laid-back vibe with wonderful restaurants. Thank you so much Carmen and Raul.
