First off, the hotel lobby is beautiful! Sitting by the pool was also lovely, and the staff were fantastic. I had some unexpected business that came up, and they were able to print some documents for me without a problem. The room was comfortable and the bathroom had a bathtub and shower which was appreciated. The room was cleaned dutifully daily, and the bed was very comfortable. The 10 minute walk to transit in the morning was beautiful and felt safe, and the nearby shops were great for purchasing our own breakfast foods (hotel breakfast looked costly). We wanted to spend most of our time in Bilbao, and we did not feel like we missed out by staying in Barakaldo thanks to the metro proximity.

The room is big and very well isolated. You couln't almost hear anything from the street or other rooms. The bed is very very comfortable and the staff is friendly. Also, we had free coffee from a coffee machine in the hotel hall. Bilbao is just 30 min away by metro.
