The fact that is a quiet place and the houses were confortable specially when traveling with kids. The kitchen was very well equipped and the host was really nice and provided us some nice tips about the surroundings. The nature trails and point of interest are good if you're a fan of nature.

We chose Saiaritz to have a rural base close to Bilbao, with parking. It was a good plan but Saiaritz made it fantastic. The building is architect built, beautifully finished. Amurrio lies in a lovely green plain, surrounded by hills; in the middle of Spain’s heatwave we stayed cool. We could take the (air conditioned) train from Amurrio to Bilbao for a few euros, with no parking hassles. But by far the highlight of our stay at Saiaritz was the hilarious and warm family who run it, Eritzu (sorry I don’t know how to spell her name, but she will know I mean her) her brother Angel, parents, grandparents, children alll play a part in making you feel welcome. Highly recommended! Muchas gracias Saiaritz.

Awesome stay at a beautifully decorated country house. The room was great and crystal clean, the common space had a coffee machine and snacks which was quite handy. Breakfast was delicious and worth the price. Definitely recommend

The hotel was excellent and our host was such a lovely lady. It is an excellent over-night stop as it is so near to catch the ferry in Bilbao the following day. The owner also gave us good advice about eating dinner in the nearby towns. We will definitely stay again. We have already recommended it to friends, who are due to stay there in early March.

Very helpful and nice host, but and decent sized room with proper balcony

El Amparo de Narcisa has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Oteo. Guests can enjoy Spanish and Steakhouse dishes at the restaurant or have a cocktail at the bar.
