The undisputed Tenerife party capital, Playa de las Américas is a year-round resort of sun, sand and sizzling nightlife. At the foot of volcanic mountains stretching up to Mount Teide, its long beach is comprised of imported golden sand. Tenerife’s natural beaches – such as that in northern Puerto de la Cruz – are actually black sand.
Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje neighbouring Playa de las Américas also have golden beaches, and all are lapped by warm, turquoise waters. Watersports are a popular activity, and the area boasts Siam Park with its hair-raising waterslides, rapids and a host of swimming pools. There’s even a wave pool where you can surf!
Outdoor pools are also found in the Playa de las Américas accommodation on Booking.com, including 5-star resorts, cheap hotels and self-catering apartments. Aqualand has yet more flumes and pools, as well as a dolphinarium.
Dolphins and whales can also be spotted from boat trips along the coast. Other activities include Golf Las Américas, the Canaries’ largest golf course.
However, it’s what happens after dark that’s the biggest draw. The Patch complex has family-friendly bars with food, while the bars, clubs and casinos of the Starco shopping centre and Verónicas strip only really kick in at after midnight.

I've been here in February.
I've been here in February. The weather is mostly sunny on the south part of the island with temperature 21-23C daytime. After sunset it was 12-13C so need more cloth. This part of the island is very crowdy. If you like peace and quiet it's not your place. The coast is clear, sandy and wonderful, but could be windy. For surfing, jumping in the waves or sunbathing it's perfect. The sunset is beautiful. The nightlife is rich and loud, with hundreds of bars and restourants with a reasonable price (12-20EURs a meal). You can find a supermarket on every corner. North to Palm Beach Excel hotel is a more quiet part, south from it rather a party area. Keep in mind if you book a hotel and want to sleep early. From this point the bus station is 10 minutes walk, and you can travel through the island with public transportation 10EURs a day unlimited. There's a line to the airport too. www.titsa.com - you find all the info about it. Wonderful part of the world.

The fabulous sunshine , we got 23 degrees and upwards with sun every day.
The food was a bit disappointing ....had to book and pay over the top prices to get a proper meal. The snacks and burgers are just too expensive. We were just a couple but I wouldn't like to bring a family there

We had to relocate from Los Christianos as our previous apartment had flooded and we couldn’t find suitable accommodation there. My first time. It’s lovely and clean lots of bars and restaurants. It’s very lively at night and we found a great Karaoke bar. Couple of visits to the Hard Rock Cafe and the happy hour cocktails are great value. Later at night it’s very much a younger persons party place so not for everyone but I had a great time.

The weather / the food / the pubs were plentiful- the beaches and seaviews and shopping areas were very good.
The nightlife lacked quality entertainment but did have some form of entertainment every night
The party scene areas were seen by the rubbish they left behind every night but the local workers work hard to keep on top of it
Overall not a bad experience

The resort is relatively large, and at its southern end it transitions seemlessly into Los Cristianos. It is quite hilly in places, so people who have difficulty walking may need mobility assistance. Public transport is pretty good, but so many streets are one-way only that there may not be a suitable bus stop near you even on a main road. There are a great many small supermarkets selling cards, souvenirs and limited range of holiday essentials and food items. Larger supermarkets selling a full range of food and household items like a UK supermarket, which might be needed for a self-catering stay, are less frequent, You will not often pass one by chance. The ambience of the resort is generally upbeat, friendly and cheerful. Street hawkers may approach you but they do not harrass you. It seemed a safe, family-friendly resort.

Maxi and scenographic hotel where find a very good service (extra ones, like room service not too expensive either). Very funny pools and very good buffet (both at breakfast and at dinner). The hotel is directly on the beach. In the beach (which I remember not being owned by the hotel but it is a free beach) you can find free umbrellas and deck chairs. The position is good. The balcony is very usefull.
Despite the negatives mentioned below a good hotel mainly for services
Good All Inclusive Hotel. Loads of sunbeds, even looking for a couple mid afternoon you can still find loads available. Entertainment was very good. Food was a good standard although not always to our taste. Apartment was Duplex which was cleaned everyday. Wifi was outstanding, strong signal where ever you were in the complex
I liked the hotel as it was always very clean and well maintained and the staff were all very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much for them. Román who was in charge of the entertainment made us feel very included. (I've found sometimes in other places if your not all inclusive they don't tend to bother with you).
