Very nice hotel with amazing outside pool areas, goos facilities - gym, bar, restaurant....everything is there. Location is just perfect, walking distance everywhere. The hotel is children friendly with a lot of activities not just for kids but also for adults. Breakfast and dinner had good selection and quality, we enjoyed it. We liked the credit system for the hotel resort, you had the flexibility for lunch/dinner.

We liked practically everything. All Staff were very friendly and at the same time professional, even the gardeners said hello! Food was excelent buffet or Al la Carte, as you wished. Wine of good quality as were all drinks. The heated pool for Royal Level was great. However we can not say the larger pool was not fantastic also, it was. I have never seen such a big pool. Lots of entertainment there. Beautiful music to accommpany the evening meal and the Lounge also offered some very good musicians. We had a disabled bathroom and it was well appointed. This Hotel caters for the disabled at most levels. Unfortunatly the Spa was not good for disabled, pity. We will return.

Very clean, cheap, pool is quiet enough in the off seasons with no kids, there is a book swap at reception which is a nice touch. Really good value for money, just bear in mind if you don’t have a car, it’s probably not the best location for you

I had a wonderful experience. The hotel was very generous from day 1: I got an upgrade for absolutely no reason and that was fantastic. I loved the buffets and I also enjoyed the gym.

The room was very nice, lots of dust under the bed which I found when I dropped something! I did not get a chance to get to the pool. The breakfast buffet style is very hard to have good hot food but was done very well, still a 9/10

The Calmer Side of Lanzarote

Playa Blanca is the newest, and arguably quietest, large resort on Lanzarote, which makes it popular with families. It is partially sheltered from the Atlantic winds by the dormant Montaña Roja volcano, and volcanic rock lines its sandy beaches which are spread around a bay.

There are 3 main beaches: Playa Dorada which is popular for watersports, Playa Blanca – the most peaceful, and Playa Flamingo which is overlooked by shops, bars and restaurants serving locally caught seafood. Further east the long stretches of sand give way to the rocky Papagayo Coves whose beautiful scenery is depicted on many a postcard.

A promenade linking the 3 beaches is lined with luxury hotels and resorts available on Booking.com, many offering all inclusive options and some even have their own water park. There are also lots of cheap apartments and private villas in Playa Blanca, some of which overlook Marina Rubicon. The Castillo de las Colorados watchtower sits on a rugged piece of headland looking across the Atlantic Ocean towards the hilly terrain of Fuerteventura.

Ferries to this neighbouring Canary Island depart from just across the bay and offer beautiful views back across the whitewashed buildings towards the mountains behind Playa Blanca.

With three beaches, miles of promenade, dozens of restaurants, supermarkets and other retail, and great sea, mountain and island views, Playa Blanca has all you need for a seaside holiday. Plus, there's plenty to see on the island, especially if hiring a car.

A resort split into two by a 20 minute walk. Both sides had an excellent variety of shops and restaurants - good value for money especially the 'Cafe Berruga' Bar/Restaurant. Our favourite place was 'Secretos del Mar' - food here was exceptional. Also, the Chinese, next to 'Secretos' is well worth a meal. The sea never receded more than a 100 metres from the beach. Ferries close at hand to take you to the other islands.

Although having visited one of the larger resort hotels...

Although having visited one of the larger resort hotels previously this time we decided on the self catering luxury of a magnificent villa complete with its own large pool. We found Playa Blanca is now very large with so many hidden areas. From the beautiful beach and views of Playa Papagaya at one end to lighthouse past Flamingo beach the far end. The local number 30 bus covered most of that area and at only 1.40€ per journey and on occasions we used our rental car, for instance to visit the cliffs above Playa Papagaya.

The long shore side walk to the east and west of Playa...

The long shore side walk to the east and west of Playa Blanca Beach offers something for everyone, from Joggers and long distance swimmers to strollers and those needing mobility assistance. It was great to see young and extended families, older couples, singles and beloved pets making the most of the lovely local facilities. It felt safe and welcoming - warm and bright too of course! The public bus service is excellent, frequent and inexpensive.

Playa Blanca is beautiful, but if you care mainly about beaches, I would recommend Fuerteventura instead. The beaches in Playa Blanca are quite small. The town itself is lovely, but to be honest, I felt a bit unsafe there in the evening. There were some strange people around the center, but I guess that can happen in any tourist area.

Everything was perfect, so clean and comfortable. Had the loveliest welcome pack. Well equipped with all you would need, the most wonderful outside space, the pool was amazing. Great location for good restaurants, sea walk along the promenade and bus stop near by if needed. Stayed in a lot of nice villas in Playa Blanca, but this is the only villa that we would consider staying in again (already looking to rebook)! Absolutely loved it 😊

Fabulous location on sea front between Marina Rubicon and town of Playa Blanca. Modern stylish hotel. All staff were lovely. Great facilities. I was worried would be too big a hotel but split up into different restaurants etc. Also given a half arrival hour slot for evening meal which made things run smoother. Food was a good standard and lovely buffet restaurant design with indoor and outdoor. Would definitely come back.

This is the second time back to Flamingo Beach Hotel, and did not disappoint. The staff are so helpful and friendly, and the TUI staff were fabulous for activities, stage performances 👏 and taking care of our child. The food selections are great. We definitely recommend it to any family visiting Playa Blanca.

The location was great, and the pool was really close by. I have been to Playa Blanca previously, so I was confident that the location would be good. The kitchen was well equipped and clean, sittingroom and TV were decent and it was a quiet spot, away from the hotels entertainment.

This was a beautiful hotel-very clean with pleasant and professional staff. It was located in a quieter area but we enjoyed the walk along the coast to shops snd restaurants. Breakfast offered a good selection. We would stay here again if returning to Playa Blanca.
