Beautiful and peaceful place which has it all. Great interior design, with amazing views on a lake and surrounding nature. On top of that: a caring host.;) That's a perfect spot you can simply enjoy a dolce far niente or explore the region: Vitoria-Gasteiz, the vinyards of La Rioja etc. I truly recommend.

Absolutely Magnificent! Luxurious, Sumptuously furnished and appointed with friendly, attentive staff with excellent moderately priced food available on request and an exceptional breakfast. A historic building lovingly restored to perfection set in immaculate gardens but without any pretence. We didn’t want to check out and will surely return when we can!

Beautiful place. Stone ,wooden beams but ultra modern. Great views. Friendly helpful staff. I had an excellent t bone steak and nice wine for my evening meal. There was a good breakfast included in the price, a good selection of hams, bread , cheese , cereal . They will also make you scrambled eggs. Make sure to ask what’s included in the price for the evening meal . We assumed it was a la carte but actually there was a fixed price for a “cena “. We would have chosen differently if we’d known this.

I loved every minute at Mondragon Hotela. The entire hotel was recently renovated and it shows, with a clean and beautiful atmosphere. The staff was amazing, very friendly and helpful. We needed to arrive a bit after 23h, we called explaining the situation, and they kindly waited for us. They even requested our IDs via email to start the check-in process, so we just had to get there and receive the room kees. Thank you Virginia for all your help!

Everything was spotless and we are very satisfied with our stay! This hotel had it all, great restaurant, petrol and it’s just off the highway for us to quickly get back in the road in the morning! Dogfriendly which is a must for us as we travel with our 2 dogs.

Love this hotel, perfect for us travelling with a dog. The setting is stunning, the building is lovely and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. There was even a gift for the dog and a loan of a comfy dog bed which really helped. Spacious room with everything we needed, beautifully designed with attention to detail. The restaurant is excellent with really good food and an area where you can take your dog while you eat. We’ve stayed twice now and love it here. Excellent place to break your journey if travelling from the UK down to the south of Spain.
