The hotel has only 11 rooms in a large historic house. It is more like what I would call an Inn because it is unique with a lot of charm. It has a wonderful original wood paneled library for guest use as well as the original living room with hand painted wall paper and coved ceiling, also for guest use. Breakfast was served on a lovely outside terrasse as well as in a breakfast room. Various coffees and a large selection of teas were available as well as juices. Lots of sliced and whole fresh fruit. Hard boiled eggs as well as cold potato omelet and bacon, and cold cuts. There was a nice variety of breads, croissants, buns, and cake and several cereals and milk. The hotels location at the end of the picturesque historic bridge which crossed over the river into the medieval town could not have been better. Our room was large, but I may have rented a larger than standard room. The bathroom was very nice. We had a small balcony with two small chairs that I enjoyed sitting on. The staff at the front desk as well as the breakfast room staff and cleaners were all very helpful and friendly. As we are seniors they helped us with our bags and went out of their way to drive us to the bus stop. The hotel also had a spa service if you wanted to indulge.

This place is an absolute gem! You are staying in a beautiful traditional farmhouse where the rooms have been updated to modern standards and the communal spaces have been restored and decorated to reflect their original character. We had the cosiest stay possible, made even better by the truly warm and generous staff. You feel like you’re staying in someone’s home but with no lack of privacy at all. We also really enjoyed the optional communal dinner on Monday night - prepared with local ingredients and the yoga session on Wednesday morning in the hotel gardens was the perfect way to end our stay. Would highly recommend this place!

We did not realize this was a ciclist friendly hotel, and we were really excited to get here and see that it was! All the basics were excellent - clean room with views of the forest, wifi, amenities, etc. We were blown away by the quality of the breakfast and 3 course dinner - just what we needed after a long day of cycling. We also loved to see the room by the pool with the beautiful floor to ceiling windows and bike gear, snacks, cycling magazines, etc. It was a lovely place to spend a rainy afternoon. Finally it was great to see the binders full of local cycling and hiking routes, as well as places to sightsee. Overall, an absolutely wonderful stay!

Where to start. Everything was wonderful! The location is at a lovely, beautiful Spanish village, where you can come home to relax after sightseeing the village itself or many other lovely places in the area/nearby (close by other lovely towns as Banyoles, Figueres (Dalí or other museums), Girona, Besalu, Olot and so on + no longer than an hour drive to Port Lligat, Cadaqués (Dalí and beautiful village anyhow), Vic and more). It’s perfectly situated and a perfect place to drive around to see Catalunya and come back to this great home base! The place is big enough and you have all the privacy. Also, there is enough parking space. The house is beautiful from the outside and inside and has so much character: typical Spanish and decorated with beautiful paintings, also of the famous owner Olga! The owners Olga & Llorrens are the most welcoming, kind, friendly and heartwarming persons. They live the Spanish saying: mi casa e su casa. A beautiful couple who made us feel very welcome from the beginning; they brighten up your day! They were also super helpful and gave several advice on where to go, to eat or what to see in the area. The breakfast was made with love everyday. The space was clean and our beds were great; we slept very well. I’ve been in southern Spain with friends and to work, then in Barcelona for work, and then I ended up here to spend some holidays and it was the best ending of my Spanish journey I could wish for. Thank you so much for the great stay! Highly recommended.
