I really liked the hotel, its convenient location, it is 300 meters from the central square, but at the same time it is very quiet and comfortable!!! several pretty patios with lovely plants. There is a working rooftop terrace from which you can look out over the rooftops of Jerez! The rooms were cleaned every day! I especially want to note the friendliness and friendliness of the staff! I lived 10 days. During this time, I have always received informational support and just friendly chatter! when my son got a little injured I was given first aid to treat the wound! Unfortunately, I only met Anher by name, but I want to express my gratitude to him and all the rest of the hotel staff! it was a pleasure to meet you! if I come back to Jerez, I will definitely come back to you!

Beautiful city but the old town is perfect for sightseeing,...

Beautiful city but the old town is perfect for sightseeing, walking around the cobbled streets and enjoying traditional sherry tasting and tapas. I would highly recommend the Tabanco El Pasaje bar. It is very small and quirky with a very warm welcome with fantastic authentic flamenco every day - do not miss this. I would also recommend Las Banderillas for an authentic Spanish bar with a warm welcome for sherry and tapas. Unfortunatley, I would not recommend La kastiza. We went to eat on a weekend night, we found a table outside - yes it was exceptionally busy but numerous Spanish customers were seated after us and they were served before us so we decided to leave and eat elswhere. The dancing horses at the equestrian school were breathtaking. A good few hours walking around the house, museum, stables where you can interact with some of the horses and of course the show! Tio Pepe is another must, fantastic guide and you learn a lot about the history of Tio Pepe and how they make the different flavours. The autograph museum is brilliant & the shop prices are actually really good value. If you want to hire a motorbike or moped, I would highly recommend GCBIKERENTAL - very modern bikes at a reasonable price and the owners are very nice and helpful. It is only approximately a 20 minute drive from Jerez airport to the old town and to the Circuito de Jerez from the old town it is also only approximately 20 minutes. If you like culture, tapas, sherry and winter sun - this is the place to visit.

Jerez is a busy City with a good airport. the centre has easy access to sherry Bodegas and historical sights such as the cathedral and the alcazar. the andalucian horses show is spectacular and well worth it. main square has plenty of restaurants and off the square are good bars

In the central district, by the market and Alcazar, Jerez is a vibrant, safe, friendly city with lots to do. We had an evening stroll from plaza to plaza - it's full of shops, restaurants, bars, cafes and tapas spots and families having fun. Our favourite tapas bar was Tabanco las Banderillas - which you have to queue to get into as it's full of locals and the food is excellent and great value. (But like most places you need to choose carefully - e.g. we don't like sweetbreads or tripe! We love fresh fish, seafood and they do a great chicken dish with lemon and oregano.) The sherry houses are great to visit and the tastings are fun. There are also the usual castles, churches etc if you like that sort of thing.

I visited Jerez for one day over 20 years ago so having longer to explore this time was great. Given it was October I imagine it's quieter than usual but that suited our group. Saw some fantastic authentic Flamengo at Tabanca a la Feria - !8 euros for drinks, tapas and shows - and had a fab time at the gay bar Pandora. Everyone was so welcoming and walking back to the hotel at 4am felt perfectly safe - not like London! I'd definitely return and recommend the city for a long weekend visit. My only concern was lack of cabs - we had a long journey from the UK - but that was only an issue when we arrived at the station

Of course the usual places to visit, like Alcázar, cathedral, sherry bodegas, ... and I strongly recommend going for dinner to "La Carboná", located in an old sherry bodega ( C. San Francisco de Paula, 2, 11401 Jerez de la Frontera,); lovely restaurant, delicious food and great service!

Bodega Fundador: interesting tour, great sherry, monumental bodega La Mesquita. Day trips to Arcos de la Frontera, Olvera, Setenil de las Bodegas, Media Sidonia and Vejer de la Frontera. Beautiful equestrian show in the Real academia del arte ecuestre. No time for the many museums in Jerez proper, we will have to return one day.

The room was very clean with minimum furniture but adequate. The bathroom had a bath with shower which was lovely and unusual for Spain. Helpful staff. Free coffee and water in the reception area. It is 25 mins walk into the old town.
