The view from the rooftop terrace is just extraordinary! Everything you need in a vacation house as a couple, is present. Jorge is a very friendly and competent host. He helped us when we needed it the most in a stressful situation regarding our rental car. I would recommend Casa El Tajaraste when staying in Hermigua.

Beutiful old rural house well equiped with everything you need . Location rather decentral, but if you are looking for quiet place with amazing view of sea, you are right here. Drinking coffee on the terace early in the morning was unforgettable.

It’s a beautiful village nestled in the mountains.

It’s a beautiful village nestled in the mountains. It’s close to the national park and if you like hiking then it’s ideal but I’d suggest having a car as the local bus timetable is very confusing and not very frequent.

Everywhere was shut we arrived on 28 June but apparently all the local restaurants close during June for their annual vacation we should have been told this there was absolutely nowhere to eat our apartment was not accessible as my husband has mobility problems he is 77 years old we were expecting to use the Infinity pool which was a plunge pool with approx 6 inches of filthy gree water photo included

If you like tranquility, walks and hikes, time away from any tourism It has a well stocked local shop and a health food shop with German bread Parking is a challenge in the village and having had parking with accommodation was a relief. Restaurant Faro is incredible- need to book though, very popular Not a beach vacation but wonderful hikes all around

It could be the best hiking place on La Gomera.

It could be the best hiking place on La Gomera. The village is surrounded by mountains of about 800-1000 meters, making it very picturesque place. As for hiking there are a few hiking paths going through the village, I made three nearly circular paths for 30-20-30 km, so there are variants.

Beautiful picturesque place , places to see & things to do, nice food, nice people, la Caleta beach is not for the faint of heart, up a risky mountain , we turned around half way , as still had an up hill climb and the a decent to the beach , I found it a bit scary. Lol

Hermigua is a great base to visit other towns and villages...

Hermigua is a great base to visit other towns and villages in the north of La Gomera and also Garajonay National Park. There is a good selection of local bars/cafes and a handful of restaurants too. I particularly enjoyed the food in Bar Mariela and Cafe Gara, and also enjoyed the more local bar feel and watching sport in Cafe Don Juan.

We choose this place to overnight 2 days in La Gomera, the property itself is good, clean and comfy, has all facilities that you can need, but notice that in winter time it might be very cold there, so we get cold inside the room and even heater doesn't help. I also write this neutral review because I can't understand why host can't add normal kitchen knifes. Please change Kitchen tools :) It's not good for children as this property has lots of stairs and there is no safety bars/handles.

Beautiful hotel run by super friendly people! We did a 26km hike and arrived very late in Hermigua with no place to sleep. The lady wasn’t at the hotel but we could easily check in ourselves and explained everything through whatsapp. She even ordered a taxi for us. The hotel is very quiet, nice beds, lovely bathroom with good soap and the breakfast was delicious. The view on the terrace is amazing!

Very nice hotel, looks very cool in that rural area. Very good location in the centre of a long Hermigua village. We were even able to find electrical charging for a car, though not very close. Parking is available nearby along the street. Great view over the mountains!

Nice position, parking always available on the main road GM1. New house clean and cozy. Good value for the price. Hermigua is also a very nice location in La Gomera Note: don’t travel too heavy as there are many steps to do. Not a cons for me but to be considered
