The pictures of the villa do not do it justice, its a spacious property, well laid out, very comfortable and in a lovely quiet area in a typical small village. The overall feeling you get is that this is a home, and its so easy to relax and just enjoy the stay. The hosts are wonderful, very friendly, helpful, accommodating and gave some great tips on areas and restaurants to visit. The outdoor spaces were wonderful, relax by the pool/poolhouse during the day, BBQ are and also a fabulius sheldetred courtyard to sit out in the evening. Villa is clean, very well maintained, and has all you need to have a lovely relaxed holiday. Location is a great base to see the island and is a short drive from the airport. If you want a location thats a good base for driving around the island and a nice quiet family break, this is the place. Highly recommended!!

We had an amazing time here! The hosts were so warm and welcoming, and they made us feel like we were visiting friends rather than staying at a rental. Have to say this was better than our expectations. We had done a lot of research and settled on Lava Beach Hotel due to the reviews. Firstly all the staff are great, very friendly and hard working to please everyone. The staff in the bars and restaurants are really attentive and switched on. The food is outstanding with a buffet selection to make your eyes pop… and your belly!... Soo much choice and it tastes amazing. The room was brilliant with more than you could expect. We had a suite over looking the pool and could not fault it. Very clean and packed with lots of nice touches… very luxurious! There are 2 pools and an outside jacuzzi. The bottom pool is only 0.4m in depth with 4 built in jacuzzi style loungers and definitely good fun to use. This was a very tranquil hotel especially around the pool, at times you could hear a pin drop. I think everybody appreciated that. One of the best things is they have a sun lounger policy. You cannot reserve one by dumping things on them before 10am. Either you have to be on it (or obviously in the pool), or they will remove everything. Works a treat! … There are more than enough very comfy sun loungers for everyone all in good positions! A very clean and modern hotel, yet has charm and warmth. There is a lot of attention to detail which if you watch the staff you will see, even using a spoon & fork to place the serviette's on the table. The Spa is great and shouldn't be overlooked as it has some nice facilities of its own. The 60min back and neck treatment I received was incredible.

perfect location, very friendly, such a relaxing time. We barely wanted to leave the hotel, which is not like us at all. Also great to go for a run at the beach in the morning! And there is a great small diving shop and a free diving school in walking distance.

Amazing stay then we had wonderful family time together, prefect room with poorl-view, relaxing vibe with banana trees in front too, perfect professional cleaning standard, the personnel are very friendly very helpful, which is the BEST reason for us ti extend for other week to stay. Highly recommend and appreciate the owner and managers did such perfect hotel hospitality for tourists

It's a quiet village in the hills. It has a small store and a trendy gin bar that serves platters of food. It has amazing views of the sea and Playa Honda which is about a 30 minutes walk away or a 10 minute drive.

Guime is a five minute drive from the airport - it is a village on the hillside above the airport and Playa Honda. It has a village shop and one bar. Buses pass through every 1.5 hours or so. It is extremely quiet - it is not directly on the flight path. The only sounds were usually dogs barking in the distance and a cockerel somewhere or other. There is very little through traffic and only a couple of minutes from San Bartolome, walkable in about an hour at a relaxed pace. there is a nice Pizzaria in San Bartolome as well as a number of shops.

It was comfortable and the view was great, but the kitchen...

It was comfortable and the view was great, but the kitchen was strange. Stuck in a cupboard on the balcony. Plenty of parking and a supermarket just down the hill. The hosts were very friendly but there should be a sign for reception as we had no idea where to go when we arrived. A sign on the gate would also help guests know they were in the right place. It might be difficult to get around without a car as it is on a hill a few Kms from the sea.
